Shell of a Country Painting, Acrylic on Canvas W:30 H:30 in 2022 Caroline Cammack

The US has faced so many challenges in the last five years, because of one person. One. We are drowning in chaos, and this has left us with a shell of a country, depicted by a broken shell applied to the canvas. I don't know how we will recover.

Graffiti Alley Painting, Acrylic on Paper - Cotton W:11 H:12 in 2021 Cher Pruys

I love graffiti! I came across this alley on an art trips in eastern Canada a few years ago and it sparked memories of my own attempts at graffiti as a kid. It was most rewarding to finally produce a piece of art representing this genre.

The Setting Sun Painting, Oil Color on Canvas W:50 H:70 cm 2020 Maksim Echein

I wrote this work during quarantine. Movement around the city was limited, so I worked from the window of the studio. Spring came, nature came to life. And along with nature, new forces and a sense of happiness appeared in order to continue to live and work.

The Pause Painting, Oil Color on Canvas W:53 H:74 cm 2017 Maksim Echein

My work is about the creator, who leaves in everyone of us, and about any artist, who can make a piece of art out of nothing. And this piece of art provokes particular emotions. Besides, my work is about labour: an enormous amount of physical and phsycological strenghs, which every artist overcomes while creating a piece of art. And surely it is about the perseption, the feeling achieved in case the result corresponds to the idea, expectations and thoughts. It's hard to explain these complicated feelings of joy, pride and sadness. I suppose, they come altogether with enormous tiredness at the moment when the artist realises that the work is finished. I can also add here the feeling of victory over oneself and over the obstacles appearing in the process of work when finally the artist lets the piece of art live its own life.

Damian Glass Art on Mosaic W:74 H:150 D:21 cm 2021 Will Lorimer

This standing sculptural life-size figure is possibly the largest piece of jewelry in the world Jewelry because of the precious materials (high grade dichroic glass, real diamond and mirror) which facet the figure, and the fine techniques employed. Under the mosaic surface, the figure is made of fiberglass, plaster and metal. Both arms, and the hands are articulated. The weighted, black mirror base, on which Damian, stands is not shown.

I've Always Been a Storm Mixed Media, Digital Painting on Canvas W:24 H:36 D:2 in 2021 Haley Sullivan

This piece is an illustration that began in my sketchbook and later became the draft for my digital outline of this stormy lady. Once I had the color scheme down that I wanted, my partner helped me create the background painting with my chosen colors. As I worked on this illustration I kept in mind to consistently play music around tears and storms. I played The Weeknd & Ariana Grande's song "Save Your Tears" a lot at the beginning of this project. However, as it progressed I came across a Fleetwood Mac song that I had somehow never heard before until I started this project. I absolutely loved the melody of "Storms" so much that I played it every day for weeks as I worked on this. Now every time I see this finished project I hear the beautiful lyrics "I've Always Been a Storm". I decided this was the perfect name for this beauty. I hope when you see this piece you understand that going through hard times in your life can always bring out a beau...

Now What Mixed Media, Oil Color on Wood W:66 H:38 in 2020 - 2021 Andrew Cohen

Oil paint on textured gesso over recycled cardboard and stretched recycled bamboo window blind This piece is a sense of the times. We seem to be dealing with world altering events on an annual basis. This can lead to a feeling of "expecting the unexpected." While this can be a good thing when considering mental preparedness; always anticipating unpredictable events which undoubtedly will change the course of the world, can make one a bit numb to the shock of the event and its repercussions. So I provided a view from a city sidewalk, gazing up between the tall buildings toward the sky of a potentially catastrophic event and titled it "NOW WHAT" as if it was only a matter of time.

The Olive Orchard Printmaking, Linoprint on Paper - Cotton W:8 H:10 in 2022 Pom Poison

This linocut print is based on a sleepy mountainside village called Valdicastello in Tuscany, Italy. I lived there for half a year and took long walks in the mountains. I would encounter lizards, vipers, hawks, and impressively, foliage covered ancient homes of human residents from before living memory, standing in the most remote areas of the wilderness. It was sometimes very obvious that in places here, the land had been reclaimed by the forest and the human beings were merely brief custodians. Hand pressed linoprint with oil based ink on Rives cream paper.

Honoring Williem De Kooning Painting, Oil Color on Canvas W:45 H:45 in 2021 - 2022 Gabriela Cardenas

The genious artist Williem de Kooning is what many artist have reflected the beauty aesthetically into my painting based on women. I had genuinely never seen this painting before but as I compared it to mine I was astonished without a doubt of the appalling features as if this artist was taking my hand on to work. I genuinely derived my idea of doing more of Matise “women with hat” 1905. But as I inspired my self to keep the Central American culture from the embodiment of water and octupi hands transcending behind. I realized this piece was derivative Women musculature and imaginative. As if I lost the beauty in the features and tone with colors Latin American culture never before seen in United States. It’s almost baroque colors with so much purple and pink. Of course the Vermeer blue brights the ghost eyes. It truly does justice see the sublime in women being muscular in vision.
