It‘s your turn

Sometimes, the right turn is the only thing that helps. In osteosynthesis, this is even the rule – and an essential requirement as well. If you need to fuse two bone sections securely, the screw plays a vital role. KLS Martin proudly presents an innovation that opens up the path to significantly improved osteosynthesis: a high-precision screw that perfectly fits the tip of your bit and the bone as well. It’s a screw you can pick up, insert and remove with the greatest ease. Excellent force transmission guaranteed – even in angular position! maxDrive®. It’s your turn.

on a long road of success

1996: Centre Drive®

1974: Champy Mini System

It was back in 1974 when KLS Martin launched the first mini-plate osteosynthesis system developed for the Champy technique, thus becoming a pioneer for trailblazing solutions in OMF surgery. But it was just the beginning. Many other innovations soon followed suit: Centre Drive® (1996), the first self-retaining screw; the TRACK distractor (1999), which set new standards for preprosthetic augmentation techniques; Resorb x® (2001), the first completely resorbable implant made of pure PDLLA. After the launch of Level One, the osteosynthesis system that offers unique flexibility (2002), KLS Martin proceeded to revolutionalize the field of resorbable osteosynthesis by introducing SonicWeld Rx® in 2005. Now, KLS Martin opens a new chapter in titanium osteosynthesis: maxDrive®, the novel screw for guaranteed success in the OR – day after day. maxDrive® is a screw of the highest precision. It offers everything that surgeons expect from a screw – and much more beyond that. Just see for yourself. maxDrive®. It‘s your turn.

Small cause, great effect –

maximum benefit

1.5 mm across and a length of 3.5 mm may not be a great deal: but for KLS Martin, these dimensions offer enough room for important innovations, being exactly the dimensions of the smallest maxDrive®. What we have optimized, what are the advantages of these improvements and how you will benefit from them – the answers to all of these questions are summarized in the following table to give you a good overview. But maxDrive® is more than the sum of its details – maxDrive® is a guarantee for successful osteosynthesis.

Three colors

for all instances

With maxDrive® you’ll be ready to cope with any situation because maxDrive® is available in three versions: standard, emergency and drill-free screws – in different diameters and lengths, of course. And to give you a perfect overview, with fast access to the type of screw you need, we have color-coded them unambiguously. Blue: The standard maxDrive® comes in three diameters and up to twelve different lengths ranging between 3.5 and 19 mm. Pink: The emergency screws for all cases in which the standard versions fail to perform correctly. With their larger diameters, emergency screws can be relied upon to provide secure hold in any situation. Gray: The self-tapping drill-free screws are available in two diameters and up to four lengths. The ideal solution when predrilling is unnecessary for saving time. 6

DockinGuide The perfect-fit self-retention mechanism for easy screw removal, insertion, retightening or loosening.

Strengthened screw neck For perfect torque, optimal force 足transmission and maximum stability. Improved thread geometry Faster insertion with minimal effort.

Atraumatic screw tip Prevents mucosal damage.

The precise turn

with the perfect system

maxDrive® offers you more than just a comprehensive screw set. maxDrive® is a complete system that facilitates your work. All components are perfectly matched to each other. The standard, emergency and drill-free screws are clearly and unmistakably sorted according to size, forming three different systems – micro, mini, and fracture –, all of which are available in color-coded clip magazines*.

8

The maxDrive® clip magazines Two new screwdriver handles** and system-specific bits are available for clinical use of all the maxDrive® versions. This makes maxDrive® a highly efficient system for osteosynthesis in all surgical fields, such as traumatology, orthognathy, craniofacial surgery, neurosurgery or plastic surgery.
