ISSUE Millennials are the generation that lives among advance technology. The use of digital technology is inseparable from the millennial generation. This claim are proven by how technology sink in a lot aspects of life, social aspect as one of them. Today, with digital technology, social media becomes a tool to communicate that can connect people without the limitation of time and place The presence of social media in the digital era as the center of information and interaction, makes everybody can be anyone they want in the digital world. Social media creates a platform to connect people by sharing moments with photos or videos. But soon after, the platform began to change its function. Not just a platform to connect with others but also as a place to show their identity as a person. The identity that the millennial generation continues to look for, is now beginning to be expressed through their preference of art.

ISSUE Millennial appreciation through art is now starting to increase, counting by how many museum visitors come every year. In the art space, they no longer looking for artworks to appreciate, but looking more for the experience they can share on social media. Seeing how this behavior changes, Interactive Art Gallery trying to provide a place that offers art experience that suitable for millennial generation in the digital era

SITE ANALYSIS Located in Kebayoran Lama, precisely in the Transit Oriented Development area (TOD), became site’s advantage in terms of accessibility Apart from that, stand in between the elite and slums area makes this site has its own uniqueness. This project has its own potential to bridge between lower-class millennial and upper-class millennial all together as a center of interaction.

Architecture Portfolio 11

CONCEPT Interaction becomes the main concept design that is considered will bridge two different class over. The lower-class millennial is a group of people who still need to make a living to meet their primary needs. In contrast to the upper-class millennial people who already fullfill their primary needs and now begin to fulfill their secondary, or even tertiary needs, which is, enjoying art. From there, interaction is needed to minimize the gap between them. The lower-class men can interact with the upper-class by buying and selling. The low-class millennial provides art as an object for upper-class to enjoy, whille the upper-class men may also share their knowledge of art to the lower-class men as a form of interaction.

Crime

Prison

CONCEPT Acceptance house as an architecture space, aim to provide shelter and opportunities for former convicted to be able to interact, socialice and back to community. Not only that, in this architecture space, ex-convicted may also express themselves through art. Therefore, we want to make a home for former convicted, where they can blend and interact as one whole community. In this place, the former convicted are also given the opportunity and space to express themselves freely through art and social interaction with the community without looking back at their past.

30 Bianca Marvella

ISSUE Crime is one of the metropolis issues that will continue to exist without knowing the times. Criminal acts increasingly rampant and will continue without knowledge of the causes of criminal acts. The cause of a criminal offense may due to an unfavorable relationship with family, environmental influences or economy crisis. As result they need to accept the risk of being jailed. However, after t h e criminals completing the punishment process, they were rejected when they get back to the community. As result, former convicted have no place to go home and express themselves.

SITE ANALYSIS POPS (Privately Owned Public Space) project located between UOB Plaza and PT. Astra Motorindo, Central Jakarta. Locating in the downtown area of SCBD as the central activity, categorized the site as a dense location. Both in terms of vehicle mobility and in terms of building density. Therefore, Privately Owns Public Space (POPS) area becomes relevant situation around the site to accommodate urban activity as well as pedestrian functions that are still not well fullfill.

CONCEPT The building is designed as a project that will complements the surrounding structure. Therefore, the bridge design inspired by the two tall buildings, that looked like cubical lego arrangement. Thus, the laying of furniture and design followed by lego arrangements.

Grogol is the final stop, transit location and nodes that connect Tangerang area to downtown Jakarta. This makes Grogol a densely populated area with high mobility 24/7. Located in West Jakarta area which populated by heterogeneous citizen who lives a fast-paced life, individualistic and workaholic behaviour.
