LAURON RED ANGUS
& Open Females
WELCOME TO OUR 32ND ANNUAL BULL & FEMALE SALE 2023!
We extend a huge thank you to all who have supported our program in the past and we look forward to meeting new friends and customers. We appreciate you all who work behind the scenes to bring forth a set of cattle for your appraisal.
Through the years, we try to assemble a set of bulls and females that can perform in true settings, thus we raise our castle on natural pasture without creep, cull vigorously for traits we find valuable such as calving ease, performance, maternal strength, structural soundness and eye appeal. We welcome you to tour the herd anytime. The bulls are wintered on a forage ration consisting of silage, chopped hay, rolled oats and a custom formulated bull supplement to ensure longevity and expression of growth. We target for about 3 -3.5lbs. of gain per day, bulls are ready and eager to get out and work! By sale day they will have received Fusogard vaccine for footrot and passed a semen test. No deferred bulls offered. Scrotal measurements and updated weights will be available closer to sale day. The purebred open heifers are representatives of our cowherd that we feel will make outstanding replacements from pedigrees that we find work. The commercial heifers are managed the same, home raised and a few sourced from Ric Arthurs. All will be palpated to ensure breeding soundness.
