Message from the Minister Joyce Howitt writes this month’s article How often do we hear people speaking of how in the ‘Good Old Days’ things were much better than they are now (we may have even said that ourselves)? Yet would we really wish to go back to the days, when compared to today, there were fewer labour saving devices and relatively primitive methods of communication? It is also worth considering that the people who lived in our ‘Good Old Days’ would probably have been reminiscing about their ‘Good Old Days’.!! However, from time to time, it is good to look back and remember the times we had then with members of our family, and friends, to reminisce about the places we lived in, and the holidays we shared. It is also good to look forward to the special family event, the new house, the new job, the holiday of a lifetime, the change of career, or even retirement, just as long as we are not so preoccupied with the future, or locked into the past, that we overlook the blessings of the present. Jesus tells us (Matthew 6) that if we look properly at the ordinary things of life, we will see God’s hand behind them. The changing seasons, the birds, the flowers, and nature, in all its variety, proclaim not only God’s understanding, care, and providence for creatures and birds but also for us, for we are made in his image and have a relationship with him that other members of his creation do not have. Jesus encourages us to believe that no matter what might be happening in our lives, God is with us and will support us. However, sometimes it is difficult not to worry, especially when our welfare is threatened or our loved ones are in danger of any kind, although in reality, we know that no amount of worry will make things better. It pulls us apart, clouds our perception and our judgment and weakens our ability to cope with the very thing that we are anxious about. So maybe when we find ourselves in these situations it would be helpful to remind ourselves of Jesus words ‘don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today’ (Matthew 6:34) Joyce Team Rector: The Revd Neil Barker (830260: any day except Mondays) Team Readers: Chris Lally (521587), Michael Tagent (810520) Website: www.modburyteam.org

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE NOTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING. If you wish to read the minutes in full, please look on the Bigbury Community website at www.bigburycommunity.co.uk or read them on the notice boards. A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Memorial Hall on WEDNESDAY 10th JUNE 2015 at 7.30 p.m. CllrS. B Carson, I.Couper, G.Rosevear and N.Stanesby attended. C.Cllr R Hosking and PC Jane Gerrard were also present for part of the meeting together with eight residents. D.Cllr Lindsay Ward had emailed a report stating that most of the District Council services have now been adopted in to the new model and ways of working. Following the recent elections the DC now consists of 25 Conservative Group members and 6 Opposition Group members. Cllr John Tucker was appointed as Leader of the Council, Cllr Ian Bramble was appointed Chairman of the Council with Peter Smerdon appointed as his vice-chairman. The Chairman’s role is to represent the council to the public at district wide events whereas the Leader’s role is more of strategic and policy role. Lindsay has been appointed Deputy Leader of the Council and is the council representative on the Avon Estuary Forum. PC Jane Gerrard reported that Rachel Ward received promotion and Kingsbridge is waiting for news of who will be appointed in her place. For the time being, Jane is fulfilling the role. Warren Palmer has replaced Paul O’Dwyer as our PCSO. She discussed problems regarding harassment by a person on the tidal road and urged that anybody experiencing harassment there, should report it on 101.
Matters arising from the minutes - Terry Edgcombe had inspected the bench on the Village Green and would be repairing it. - Iain Couper would be attending a New Councillor training session on 16 June with Nina Stanesby attending an autumn one. - Local Friday bus: following a very successful meeting chaired by Lindsay Ward with Gary Streeter and 32 residents attending, the DCC have agreed not to add Ivybridge to the existing Friday bus schedule. However, there are still proposals to axe the F7 and F17 car schemes. Both she and Richard Hosking are fighting this issue. -

Open Session Seafront, Warren Rd, Bos: A BoS resident referred to this application and the news of the Sale Agreed at Warren Cottage/Bay View Café. Other residents at the meeting expressed concern at the prospect of redevelopment of both sites and said it was important to keep a careful eye on the street scene in BoS. Residents present stated it was important that new dwellings should sit low in development sites without blocking views. Bryan Carson explained the system following an application and the number of consultees making reports. George Rosevear declared an interest in the matter of Seafront and took no part in discussions on it during the whole course of the meeting.

Beth Huntley (who lives behind Seafront) stated there had been 72 objections to the original application in which it was proposed to demolish the existing bungalow and replace with 2 houses. It is important that anyone who wrote in about the original application should write in again for this one as it will be treated as a fresh application. Councillors, with the exception of George Rosevear, would meet on site on Monday 15th June. A resident queried why Mr Crafer (the Swan Man) had been asked to leave the room during PC Gerrard’s report. Cllr Carson explained reasons as it was a sensitive matter. The same resident also asked about councillors’ matters of interest He also referred to the application for Certificate of Lawfulness for Mount Folly Farm. County Councillor’s Report C.Cllr Richard Hosking reported on the Transport Review and stated that it was essential that any resident who is opposed to cuts in the F7/F17 car scheme should write to DCC stating their objections and that they could also write to him on the matter. There is a County Boundary Review for 2017 being carried out and your comments are required before 15 July. At the moment, Bigbury (which was recently placed into the Modbury Ward under the recent District Council review instead of Charterlands) is in the Yealmpton Ward for County Council matters but under the new proposals would be removed from there and placed into a ward the other side of the River Avon. The Parish Council will be writing to oppose this proposal and to request that we remain in the Yealmpton Ward. Richard spoke about the recent OFSTED report and also about Local Government reorganisation – he had been in discussion with Cllr John Hart regarding the South West. Planning (planning applications for Bigbury parish have 05 prefix) 0921/15: Mr & Mrs Hesse, Glebe House, Easton: following a site meeting, the parish councillors, having taken into consideration views of a neighbour, had no objections to the application. 1157/15/CLE: Mount Folly Farm: Lawful development certificate for existing use of land for all year round camping, motorhomes and caravan site. Bryan Carson declared an interest and left the room for this discussion and for 1178/15/F Mr B Carson Upper Granary, Easton – replacement of extension. Cllr Rosevear chaired these discussions including the remaining councillors. Concern was expressed that there is no indication of numbers, lengths of time and extensive use of the site and also mud on the road when campers leave during adverse weather conditions. Recommendation was Refusal. 1178/15/F: Mr B Carson, Upper Granary: Councillors had no objections to the application.

KATS Presents
A Comedy Drama by Robert Harling Directed by Mike Davies
7.30pm Wed to Sat
2–5 September 2015 Malborough Village Hall
Fully raked seating • Licensed bar • Ample parking Tickets £9 available online at www.kats-kingsbridge.co.uk or from Kingsbridge Information Centre This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Samuel French.
K.A.T.S. From tap dancing to hairdressing, members of Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) are constantly learning new skills. Their forthcoming summer play is the warm-hearted comedy, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling. Based on a true story, the play is set in Truvy’s hairdressing salon in the deep south of America. Six women gather to discuss their various personal lives with a particular emphasis on the complicated relationship between bride to be, Shelby and her mother, M’lynn. When tragedy strikes it is in the familiar comfort of Truvy’s salon that they seek the solace and support that carries them through. Steel Magnolias made its stage debut in 1987 and has remained consistently popular. The play's enduring relevancy stems from a combination of its strong female characters and its witty, memorable script. The action includes some powerful emotional moments, but Harling's script balances out the pathos with some wickedly funny lines. Directed by Mike Davies, Steel Magnolias runs from Wed 2 nd – Sat 5th September 2015 at Malborough Village Hall. Tickets @ £9 are available on-line at kats-kingsbridge.co.uk or at the Kingsbridge Information Centre from July.

Friends of St Lawrence , Bigbury REPORT 2015 VICTORIAN TEA PARTY 3 JUNE 2015 We had a brilliant turnout for the Victorian Tea Party on Wednesday 3rd June at The Old Rectory. After gale force winds the day before it cleared and those that wanted to be outside could enjoy Helen’s lovely garden. Inside we enjoyed her lovely house. Most of the guests rose to the occasion and dressed stunningly. The cakes were gorgeous, as were the numerous sandwiches, all lovingly made by Friends. Many thanks to all who contributed with their cakes, sandwiches, time, presence and money! We raised just over £750, over double the amount raised at the previous Tea Party in 2013. The word has obviously gone around that this is where to be seen! Alice Taylor

Hello Shackers! June has been a really busy month at the Shack with a Wedding Brunch and lots of birthday parties here, manning our oyster bar in the Royal William Yard in Plymouth during the filming of the Antiques Road Show and having a stall at the Looe Food Festival. We also had a very successful Wine & Food Tasting evening and our June Tapas menu was hugely popular. July will be a first for the Shack in our 26 year history. We have been invited by the Port Eliot Festival in St. Germans, Cornwall to create a pop up Oyster Shack restaurant in the Walled Garden. We will be serving your favourite shellfish and catch of the day fish both simply chilled or BBQ'd. The festival goes from July 30th - August 2nd and will be truly memorable. The two Fishing Trips out of Salcombe on Saturday 11 th July and Saturday 15th August are going to be really fun. If you want to join us, just give us a ring. We will be running a minibus from the Shack leaving at 8.30am to go down to the boat for breakfast, Chris from Phoenix Charters will then kit us out and take us out to catch our lunch. Head Chef Andy will be on board and when we have dropped anchor in one of the lovely bays close to Salcombe, he will show us how to prepare and cook it. Lunch will be on the boat and will include some chilled wines and soft drinks. Each trip is limited to 10 guests at a cost of £195 per person. We would love you to join us for what promises to be an unforgettable day. All these opportunities have allowed a new role to be opened up at ensure we continue to provide the great Shack experience you have over the years. July/Aug 2015 I have a runny nose, itchy eyes and am permanently slathered in factor 50. Ah…. It must be summer! This season also bring with it other joys, one of which we enjoyed / endured (delete as appropriate) this very morning…. School sports day! The preparation for this hallowed event involves much washing and ironing of kit that has gone neglected and lain screwed up in a fetid ball at the bottom of the PE bag for the preceding seven weeks of term. At school, it appears to have involved the substitution of fevered practice of throwing, jumping and running for pretty much everything else on the curriculum. On the morning of the event preparation included wrestling a protesting Weenie Weekend to the ground in order to apply sun cream – ‘But I’m not even OUTSIDE yet!’ And so we finally made it to the hallowed turf of the school sports field in time for the spectacular entrance of the athletes. This year, this involved the four teams marching round the field to the strains of a stirring rock anthem; something of a departure for a rather staid Catholic girls’ school. One of the parents, no doubt breathless with anticipation and excitement, was heard to say, ‘Wow this is just like the Olympics’…. Mmmm, I perhaps wouldn’t go that far. Anyway, sports day then proceeded in time honoured fashion with a bit of throwing, a bit of jumping and quite a lot of running accompanied but lots of cheering and clapping. Thankfully, there is no parents’ race at Weenie’s school. I like to think this was because of some previous mysterious incident involving drugs, injury or cheating because that would be exciting but I expect it was because of health and safety or something. Anyway, it’s probably just as well because there are some very competitive parents. Now I don’t want to be sexist but…. well, the fact is the dads are the worst….. running along the track alongside their five year old exhorting them to greater heights of athletic performance, knocking more reserved parents left and right in the single minded pursuit of their offspring’s sporting greatness…. then being there at the finishing line to administer energy drinks and giving cool-down stretching instructions. This is all taking it far too seriously in my opinion. But then that is the opinion of someone who was always the last to be picked for any kind of sporting activity. My schoolmates would draw lots not to have me in their team. But I’m not emotionally scarred by it honestly! Sports day should be about having fun, running around a bit, getting a bit hot and sweaty, trying your best, learning how to win and lose gracefully.
I’m pleased to say all the girls did their very best at all of the above. Only one girl was sick. It was a lovely sunny day and despite, or maybe because of, the fact that the catering consisted of doughnuts (which I found slightly at odds with the ethos of a healthy sports day), a good time was had by all. Much love WW weekendwendie@gmail.com (-:

BIGBURY MEMORIAL HALL Bringing the Community Together There were a couple of the events at the Hall at the end of May, just too late to be included in last month’s Bigbury News. On Bank Holiday Monday the annual Bazaar, held jointly with St. Lawrence Church, took place. There were some great stalls to see and around £500 was raised. Many thanks to all who put in such a lot of hard work to make the day a success. On the 29th, Richard and Alice Taylor (see photo !) presented the latest of their ever popular Wine Tasting Evenings. Twenty three people attended and were treated to eight outstanding wines plus Alice’s usual imaginative nibbles, all accompanied by Richard’s informative and amusing commentary, based on the accumulated knowledge of nearly fifty years in the business. On Thursday 9th July the AGM of the Hall will be held at 7.00 p.m. – see poster. Do come along to hear all the latest on the Hall and ask any questions you wish to. The Committee then takes a summer break but, of course, the annual Garden and Produce Show takes place on September 6th. Further details of this are contained elsewhere in this month’s issue. Finally, we have some exciting events in the pipeline for the winter period, more about which in September.
Have a great summer. Charles Harrington

News and ‘What’s New?’ By Liz Playle
A lovely (brief!) AGM took place at the monthly meeting on 22nd May. It was announced that we now have an amazing 377 members, and had achieved another very successful and enjoyable year, despite some recent sad news about several members ill health. 3 members newsletters will continue this year, and members were encouraged to contribute to these (eg Potted profiles of members lives, or something interesting to others they had done?!) Groups - So many groups are now running, and such variety! Just a glimpse at the website will whet any appetite, if thinking about joining! (How did we ever have time to work full time!?) Monthly Meetings These are held every month (except August and December) at the Methodist Church, Fore St, Kingsbridge, from 1000 –1200. News from branch and groups is followed by refreshments, with a speaker from 11 -1200. Members, guests and potential members are all very welcome to attend. Entry £1 Friday 26th June 2015
Speaker - Rosalind SpearsFrank Spears was a talented Anglo-South African painter who exhibited in over 100 shows in South Africa and London. His paintings were chosen to represent South Africa at the Venice Biennale in 1966. He was also a well known radio broadcaster, actor, opera singer and designer
The talk will consist of the story of Frank’s life with recordings of interviews and poetry readings, quotes from his writings and slides of his paintings, which are also beautifully illustrated in a new publication available on the day “Frank Spears – the Painter”. One critic said “You have a Metropolitan Museum of Art collection in one book.”

Allen Chubb: “Learn to sail a tall-ship with people who will change your life” – The Jubilee Sailing Trust
Have you seen the majestic tallships “Lord Nelson” or “Tenacious” in a harbour near you? Maybe you never realised the very special part they play as the mainstay of the Jubilee Sailing Trust where every aspect of life on board is available to people of every physical ability – setting the sails, helming the ship, and even going aloft. Sign up for a JST voyage or this talk and you will know how by working together we can achieve great things.

Why not join members of the South Hams Society for a beach clean? You will be made very welcome. The next one is at Soar Mill Beach, on Saturday 4 July. Meet in the car park behind the hotel at 2 pm. It is a superb time of year to be on this dramatic beach. The beach seems to attract an unusual amount of rubbish washed in from who knows where, so well worth the effort. LW 14.31 BST Then, on 1 August, it’s Gara Beach, also known as Moors Beach, after the raids by slave hunters. Meet outside the restaurant at 12 noon. In 2014, we found lumps of Palm Oil, toxic to dogs but, as far as is known, not to humans. LW 13.32 BST More beach cleans are scheduled for 2015: Yarmer/Lease Foot (29 August), Soar Mill (12 September), South Milton (10 October), West Charleton (14 November) and Gara (12 December). For more information, please contact Vivien Napper, t: 01548 842405 e: viv@rathlyn.eclipse.co.uk or visit the South Hams Society website at http:// www.southhamssociety.org

On Wednesday 3rd June, the Korniloff Coffee Morning raised £180 for the Women’s Groups in Cambodia. It was lovely to have Pauline present and hear about how and why the groups were set up to provide much needed money for the families still suffering from the after effects of war and landmines. She also bought with her some new summer goodies. This month on the 1st July we are supporting the Brittle Bones Society.
On
Wednesday 5th August we are supporting the Children’s Hospice S.W. and on 2nd September we will be supporting the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. We would like to give our grateful thanks to Gina and Gordon, their staff, who are so helpful, and of course the residents of Kornilof for welcoming us into their lovely home and for their continuing support. Jean It was a smaller group than normal that met at Jo's house for The Bigbury Bookworms in June but, as always, it was an enjoyable afternoon with lively discussions. We have two books being read at the moment and they could not
be
more different - "To Kill a Mocking Bird" by Harper Lee, a
story of race, class and prejudice, set in America's deep South in the 1930's and the second book "Courting Trouble" by Kathy Lette, a light-hearted woman's view of her life and men! When we meet on July 1st at Hazel's house, everyone will have read both books and we should have a lively debate. Liz.
A WIMBLEDON TEA PARTY AT THE BYRE, EASTON . . .

The cost per person is £7.50 for Pimms, strawberries and cream, scones, cake etc. There will be a raffle with Wimbledon memorabilia, and the Bigbury hand-bell ringers will play. (see poster p.10)

Wednesday 17th June saw a party of ten of us visit Port Eliot near St Germans in Cornwall. We met at Helen’s at 10.00 and after deliberations of who were the drivers, we set off about 10.20. Jean Wright (bless her) led the way as two of us were not sure of the route. Jean drove Helen Smith, Gill Peet and Jo Dudmesh. Jane Tucker drove Hazel Osborne and Iris McSherry and I drove Rose Owen and Mo Richter. We arrived, having driven down a very white dusty track leading to Port Eliot House only to find the place closed until 2.00. Our intention had been to visit the gardens till about 12.30, have refreshments at their tea room and then tour the house – all best plans of mice and men…….. A window opened and someone yelled “It’s not open till 2.00” so a quick discussion on what to do next. Poor Jean was really upset as she had read the brochure very carefully prior to our departure and we all would have read it the same way as she did!! We learnt later that whoever was in charge of the Port Eliot catering facility had done a rapid departure at some stage and the brochure had not been revised. However, the quickly decided re-arrangement worked out very well. St Germans Church, which is adjacent to Port Eliot house. The interior is lovely, with Off we went to Kernow Mill at Trerulemany beautiful stained glass windows. foot roundabout where first stop (apart There was also a very interesting exhibition from the loos for some) was coffees of the churches’ long history and food. Then a good time of retail therapy looking around the shop there. Naturally quite a few of us succumbed and were enticed into buying something for our wardrobes!!!!!! Then back to Port Eliot. There have been recent reports that Prince Charles has been trying to buy the house and certainly the guides were unsure of what is going to happen. The house is absolutely gorgeous – it is only open from March till 28 June from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. There are paintings in the property which were handed to the state in lieu of death duties but they are allowed to remain in the house on condition the house is open to the public for a time for one hundred days of the year. It has been lived in for over 1000 (yes – a thousand) years and is the historic seat of the Earl and Countess of St Germans with the family having lived there for hundreds of years. I think we were all blown away by the beautiful Lenkievicz Round Room – this was truly magnificent with the walls covered in a mural painted by the celebrated Plymouth artist Robert Lenkievicz. Rose, Mo and I finished in the tea room and whilst I only had water, they both guzzled home-made scones and home-made blackcurrant-and-gin jam and cream. The other two cars had already left by the time we got back to my car but I managed to find the way back without getting lost !!! Then I had to wash my newly-white car to get it back to its usual pale green colour so the car had a birthday! As we didn’t meet up at the end of our visit, no plans were made for the July meeting but we meet on the third Wednesday of every month and anyone is very welcome to join us. Feel free to phone one of us in July to see what the plans are for the next meeting on 15 July Pam Trundle

The recent good weather is certainly making vegetation grow fast and the rangers are busy cutting the footpaths across the property. The South Devon estate stretches from Wembury Point in the West through to Dartmouth in the East. Covering an area of more than 8000 acres, which includes 40 miles of coastline there is a huge number of footpaths, bridleways and gateways to keep clear. If you notice that any of our paths are in need of cutting please feel free to let us know via a phone call or email. We need to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers for their continued support and great work across the property. The volunteer team have had a great start with the installation of the new car park signage across the property so keep your eyes open for the new style orientation boards at our bigger car parks. Mike who has been busy painting Wembury Beach café shop has made a lovely job of the windows and doors in the new colour to match the beach café and handrail on the steps. We are all looking forward to the Big Beach Picnic on the 4th July at Wembury Beach. There’ll be lots going on including rock pooling, a beach treasure hunt, mini raft racing, storytelling, water sports tasters and refreshments from the Old Mill Café. In partnership with the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Devon Wildlife Trust Marine Centre this one-off event to celebrate the coast starts at 11am and finishes at 2pm. Bring a beach blanket, a tasty picnic and your swimsuit! More details can be found online at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wembury. Please stop and have a chat to the team if you see us out working or if you have any comments about the work of the National Trust. I have received no details of crimes or other incidents either from the Police or residents of Bigbury so will only pass on information received about scams etc. For your information. Remember these people continually find ways of trying to separate us from our money and / or property so be on your guard. 1. Received a phone call from BT, informing me that he was disconnecting me because of an unpaid bill.. He demanded payment immediately of ÂŁ31.00 or it would be ÂŁ118.00 to re-connect at a later date. The guy wasn't even fazed when I told him I was with Virgin Media, allegedly VM have to pay BT a percentage for line rental! I asked the guy's name - he gave me the very 'English' John Peacock with a very 'African' accent - & phone number -0800 0800 152. Obviously the fellow realised I didn't believe his story, so offered to demonstrate that he was from BT. I asked how & he told me to hang up & try phoning someone - he would disconnect my phone to prevent this. AND HE DID !! My phone was dead - no engaged tone, nothing - until he phoned me again. Very pleased with himself, he asked if that was enough proof that he was with BT. I asked how the payment was to be made & he said credit card, there & then. I said that I didn't know how he'd done it, but I had absolutely no intention of paying him, I didn't believe his name or that he worked for BT. He hung up. I dialed 1471 - number withheld I phoned his fictitious 0800 number - not recognised. So I phoned the police to let them know. I wasn't the first! It's only just
started apparently, but it is escalating. Their advice was to let as many people as possible know of this scam.
The fact that the phone does go off would probably
convince some people it's real, so please make as many friends & family aware of this. How is it done? This is good but not that clever. He gave the wrong number it should have been 0800 800 152 which takes you through to BT Business.
The
cutting off of the line is very simple, he stays on the line with the mute button on and you can't dial out - but he can hear you trying. (This is because the person who initiates a call is the one to terminate it).
When you stop trying he cuts off and
immediately calls back. You could almost be convinced! The sad thing is that it is so simple that it will certainly fool many. By the way this is not about getting the cash
as this would not get past merchant services - it is all about getting the credit card details which include the security number, to be used for larger purchases. 2. Crimestoppers would like to warn the public against scammers impersonating the charity.
Crimestoppers has been alerted to a group of scammers who have
'hijacked' the 0800 555 111 number. The scammers are calling people, saying they are "Crimestoppers at the Home Office" and directing them to the website to clarify the
26
number
and
asking
for
personal
information
like
bank
details.
Crimestoppers has never, and will never, make cold calls to members of the public asking for any personal details, if you receive from someone asking for personal information and claiming to be from Crimestoppers, please report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. Roger Critchell, Director of Operations for Crimestoppers, is currently talking to their phone service provider to attempt to resolve the situation and hope this can be rectified as quickly as possible. "People can still call the 0800 555 111 to pass on anonymous information about crime, but we wanted to make sure people are aware that Crimestoppers will never, ever contact members of the public asking for personal details. Please do not hand over any personal information from cold callers claiming to be Crimestoppers." 3. Trading Standards have received a number of complaints about unsolicited visits from doorstep traders offering gardening, building and driveway works. These complaints often mention poor quality work, excessive costs, and even sometimes elderly
people
being
driven
to
the
bank
to
withdraw
cash.
By law, doorstep traders have to give you written information before you agree to a contract - including their name and address, how much the work will cost and how long it will take to complete. They also have to give you a written notice telling you about your right to a 14 day cooling off period - although you can decide to
have
work
done
dur ing
this
perio d,
if
yo u
want
to .
Trading Standards always advise not to enter into contracts with unsolicited visitors
to your home. Take your time and always get 3 quotes for any work that you want to be done. Always get a second opinion if you are told by an unsolicited visitor that you need work doing to your home. If you want advice, details of approved traders, or to complain about a doorstep trader, please call Citizens Advice on 03454 040506. If you feel threatened by a doorstep caller, contact the police. That's Citizens Advice on 03454 040506 for any information regarding approved traders. Finally the Police Service are looking for volunteers. I'm not sure what it's all about but the details I have and contact number is below if any one wishes to make enquiries : The Devon and Cornwall Police are looking to recruit Volunteers in the Torbay, South
Hams and Teignbridge areas. We are especially looking for suitably qualified persons who would take on the role of the Volunteer Co-ordinators roles. These volunteers will be responsible for setting up the volunteers in their area and providing support, recruiting and interviewing, advertising and liaison with the volunteers. We require at least three, one in each area, Torbay, South Hams and Teignbridge. If anyone is interested
