Introducing ‘Be well, Feel Good’ – a free way to achieve better health and wellbeing

‘Be Well, Feel Good’ is a new service commissioned by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) and run by the Nutrition and Dietetic services at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Now open for referrals, the service offers a free 12-week programme which is designed to support and empower participants to make their own health choices and achieve their wellbeing goals using a compassionate and person-centred approach. The hour-long weekly sessions will be delivered by Registered Nutritionists with input from Cognitive Behavioural Therapists. Participants will also receive support in between sessions from a dedicated app and be supported to make links with other services within the local community. Topics covered in the programme include: nutrition, increasing daily movement, mindset, wellbeing and much more. Groups will be running in a range of community venues across Doncaster, with a virtual group also on offer. To be eligible for this service participants must be: • Aged 18 years or over (not pregnant) • Have a BMI >30kg/m2 or >27.5kg/m2 for people with type 2 diabetes or from the
