Q

2 Global Mining Symposium is upon us and as the world continues to wake up to the critical role metals will play in our greener economy, the momentum in our industry is palpable. We could feel that enthusiasm in our Q1 edition as it set records with 2,500 delegates tuning in from over 100 countries. With our Q2 edition, we continue to bring you the industry’s key leaders, insights on the big themes of the day, and investment opportunities with Junior miners that are making an impact. We will be getting caught up with David Garofalo, CEO of Gold Royalty Corp, who helped launch TNM Events with our inaugural Symposium in London back in 2017. David will give you one of kind insights into the gold sector and the gold royalty business, which he is now apart of. Also joining us will be Jake Klein, Executive Chairman of Evolution Mining. Jake will be joining us from his home base Australia, but Evolution is no stranger to International Mining investors with its recent moves into Canada’s famed Red Lake district. In addition to David and Jake we are bringing you leading experts on Cloud transformation, ESG, battery metals as well as key insights on what is really going on in the nickel space. And of course, as always, we are bringing you a suite of exciting Juniors that are poised to accomplish some big things in the year ahead as they are advancing

some of the industry’s best projects, and can share their innovative technologies that will help them drive value in the coming year. Plus, as an added bonus, we will wrap up the final day of the Symposium with renowned gold pro Todd Keirstead. Todd is not only great at a golf, he’s a great entertainer as well, and he will help you get your swing ready for the season. It’s our way of saying thank you for all of the support over these challenging times. You, our audience, have made The Northern Miner’s Global Mining Symposium’s such a resounding success, and we will continue to count on all of you for your excellent questions and comments for our team and for our guests. Canada Silver Cobalt Works is both a highly successful silver explorer and a green extractive technology leader. CCW has discovered an extraordinarily high-grade silver deposit in Canada’s Silver-Cobalt Heartland in northern Ontario (intercepts up to 89,853 g/t silver or 2,621 oz/ton, among the highest grades in the world). The company is actively drilling to determine the full size of this rich deposit, is planning a ramp down to the discovery at the 500m level and is also working to put its nearby past-producing, underground, high-grade silver-cobalt Castle mine into production. In addition, the company has a proprietary, environmentally friendly, Re-2Ox hydrometallurgical process for extracting battery metals such as cobalt and nickel and removing undesirable elements such as arsenic from mining ores, old tailings piles and recycled batteries without any discharge or smelting involved. Lab tests have shown the technically advanced Re-2Ox process can produce cobalt sulphate that meets battery industry specifications and the design and construction of a pilot plant at SGS Lakefield is underway.

NORAM Engineering and Contractors is a privately owned company based in Vancouver BC. NORAM provides proprietary technology and equipment packages to the chemical and mineral processing industries. NORAM’s technologies includes equipment and designs for the production of sulphuric acid, sulphur dioxide, and lithium hydroxide, amongst others. NORAM’s CellChemTM technology is ideally suited for on-site sulphur dioxide (SO2) production for remote mining applications requiring sulphur dioxide for leaching or cyanide destruction. These sulphur burners are compact and, depending on burner style, produce between one (1) and 100 t/d, high-strength SO2 up to 18%v/v with high turndown rates. Because of the compact design, these burners are easily skid mounted and offers cost effective alternatives to liquid SO2 and SMBS used in mining applications. In addition, NORAM offers the NORSCAND® family of electrochemical cells that have been optimized for the production of battery-grade lithium hydroxide and can be incorporated into lithium production or battery recycling processes from either sulphate or chloride-based brines. The NORSCAND® technology has been implemented in spodumene flowsheets to produce lithium hydroxide and sulphuric acid for internal recycle. For more traditional lithium flowsheets NORAM can provide a sulphuric acid plant required in the leaching process.
