W E LCOM E

My name is Jennifer Brown, I usually go by Jenn and I will be stepping into the role of Billings Parks and Recreation Senior Service Specialist. Some of you may know me know me from Fitness by Design, Zumba Gold or Discovering Nutrition. This is what I would call my dream job and working with the Senior population has been a passion for most of my life. I thought for those who have not met me I would give a little background so you can get to know me a little better. I have a small family, a husband Colin and a 17-year daughter Kaydyn. I have close to two decades in healthcare most of which I have spent serving the Billings area Senior population. I started off as a Certified Nurses Aid and Unit Secretary at Billings Clinic and then decided I wanted to work more with preventing individuals from having to come into the hospital in the first place. I hold several certifications in senior and multi-generational group fitness and programming. I have a wide range and background in healthcare from hospital, clinic, Nutrition Educator in WIC and Population/Prevention Health. I hold a Bachelors in Nutrition Science, Graduate Degree Certification in Health Promotion and I am currently finishing my Masters in Public Health and Nutrition which simply means I have been trained to provide safe, fun and cost-effective programs for all ages. Fun Fact: last year I helped create and performed in a “flash mob” for RiverStone Health’s 10year employee celebration. My passion is dance, healthy relationships with food, fun fitness and spending time with my family. I have been to Mexico two times with my husband fishing which was so much fun. We plan to take my daughter next year for her high school graduation. I love to laugh; you may hear it from my office to the other end of the building some days. They say laughing is the best medicine and it sure is for me. I truly believe in making the healthy choice the easy and fun choice. This can simply be getting your self up and coming into the Senior Center to visit with family and friends. I look forward to serving our senior community and expanding the programs and services that are offered for our community and seniors.
