Power: Ability to detect illness Origin Story: At just three years of age, he started sleeping next to the family dog and refused to leave her side. He insisted the dog was sick, despite it being young and energetic. Weeks went by, and the dog started to slow down and act strange. At the vet’s office, the doctor told them the dog has developed cancer. Years later, he realized his first girlfriend was developing leukemia and his neighbor’s cat had a heart murmur. He connected the dots by the time he was 21 and started seeing illness in strangers. He began taking it upon himself to warn people. Tragic Flaw: Constantly being focused on illnesses is depressing, and he worries that he isn’t spending enough time trying to save people. His sweet, bubbly and outgoing girlfriend keeps him from becoming too withdrawn and introverted. Community Relationship: This power is not something he broadcasts because he fears he would not be able to handle the amount of people who would flock to him. He doesn’t keep in contact with the people he warns and he often gets aggressively negative or condescendingly skeptical responses from people.
