Child Head Injury A research has showed that head injury occurs more often in young children than adults. They are more likely to have an accident as they learn new skills such as walking, running, jumping, cycling and more. This infographic will let young parents be aware of the danger of head injuries, falls, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) of their children. Almost half a million emergency room visits for TBI are made annually by children aged 0 to 14 years. Falls are the most common cause of minor head injuries in children and adolescents, followed by motor vehicle crashes, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, sports-related trauma, and child abuse.
