Ireland: An Aging Country

Utilising the most recent governmental statistics from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) backed by research conducted by Zurich Life, an emerging trend was identified. That being, Irish people are aging and by 2046 1 in 5 citizens will be over 65. This is the current age of retirement; however, it appears to be creeping further into the 60’s. With current predictions pointing to the reality that in 2035 an Irish citizen must reach 70 before they can kick back and start enjoying the fruits of many years of labour. However, with so many at the age of retirement the government may have reduced the state pension, this is where a personal pension is a no brainer. Save today so you can live a realistic life in retirement.
