Page 1

What to Expect on the ASVAB Individuals looking to join the U.S. Armed Forces will need to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Exam (ASVAB) to determine if they are qualified to enlist. This test is important as it not only determines if you are able to join but also your job in the military (MOS). ASVABTutor.com created this infographic to help applicants get a better idea of what to expect before visiting a testing location and taking the exam. Understanding the score requirements, format, subtests, and test lengths are important aspects for those looking to get the best possible score. The ASVAB test is comprised of 9 subtests: General Science (GS) Arithmetic Reasoning (AR) Word Knowledge (WK) Paragraph Comprehension (PC) Mathematics Knowledge (MK) Electronics Information (EI) Auto and Shop Information (AS) Mechanical Comprehension (MC) Assembling Objects (AO) Most ASVAB testing is conducted at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). If you do not live near a MEPS, you may take the ASVAB at a satellite location called a Military Entrance Test (MET) site.
