ASHTYL 20% Tylosin Powder
A microlide bacteriostatic antibiotic used for treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections in chickens, turkeys, calves and pigs. Composition: Each gm contains: Tylosin Tartrate BP (Vet.) Equivalent to Tylosin ..............................20%w/w Excipients.............................q.s. (Each 100g sachet of Ashtyl 20% contains 20g Tylosin Indication: Ashtyl 20% is indicated in all conditions associated with bacteria sensitive to Tylosin. This includes organisms in the following genera:Streptococcus, Bacillus, Staphylococcus, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Erysipelothrix, Spirochaetes, Fusiformis, Clamydia, Mycoplasma, Pasturella and Campylobacter. Contra-indication: Not to be used in animals hypersensitive to Tylosin or other macrolide antibiotics eg. erythromycin. Do not use Ashtyl 20% in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
Withdrawal period: Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. The withdrawal periods after the last treatment are as follows: Meat:Calves : 14 days Broiler Chickens : 1 day Turkeys and pigs : Nil Storage : Store below 300C in a dry place. Protect from light. Dosage and administration Pig: 3-6 mg Tylosin activity /kg body weight or 100 g Tylosin activity per ton of feed. Calves: 0.5 g to 1 g Tylosin activity per calf administered orally twice daily for 7-14 days. The product may be given in the milk or milk replacer. Chickens and Turkeys:: 0.5 g tylosin (2.5 g of Ashtyl 20%) in 1 litre of drinking water. Precaution: Do not use the same solution for more than three days. Do not leave or dispose off water containing Tylosin where it may be accessible to animals not under treatment or wildlife. Available pack: 100g
