Unknown Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Adverse effects most commonly include heartburn, nausea and/or vomiting. Less frequent effects may include trouble breathing, tiredness or weakness and skin rash. Possible allergic reaction to material if inhaled, ingested or in contact with skin. Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure Pregnant women should avoid aspirin during their last trimester due to potential problems for both fetus and the mother. Persons sensitive to other salicylates or to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents may be sensitive to this material as well. Hypersensitivity to material, nasal polyps, asthma, thrombocytopenia, erosive gastritis, peptic ulcer, hemophelia or other bleeding problems, severe kidney failure, severe liver insufficiency and active alcoholism. Emergency and First Aid Procedures If ingested, wash out mouth with water. Call a physician. In case of skin contact, flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. In case of eye contact, flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating eyelids with fingers. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Inhalation: Causes irritation and is a known respiratory allergen. Avoid inhalation, remove to fresh air. Ingestion: Causes irritation and toxicity. Avoid ingestion. Flush out mouth with water. This material is rapidly and completely absorbed from the gastro intestinal tract.
