WHAT MAKES CCPA UNIQUE? Two homes. Two unique locations. CCPA students have two homes at Binghamton University. Some students take their classes on Binghamton’s Vestal campus, while others learn at the University Downtown Center (UDC). Both locations have benefits. Being in the heart of a bustling downtown means students at the UDC are near the organizations where they’re interning, making real-world learning easily accessible. Many choose to live downtown facilitating this natural transition. The UDC is an ultra-modern facility with a library and information commons that offers study lounges and computer pods, collections, inter-library loan, printers and copy machine. The Vestal campus is 930 acres and provides the traditional college experience. Students live in modern residence halls, have access to several libraries and modern academic facilities, and can enjoy hiking, biking and learning in the campus’ largest lab — a 182-acre Nature Preserve, a protected forest and wetlands with a six-acre pond.

Outstanding faculty Our faculty are dedicated to meeting the needs of communities across the globe. With a focus on applied research, professors work locally and abroad, implementing an interdisciplinary perspective to address society’s most pressing challenges. Students collaborate with faculty on research topics such as substance use and abuse, sustainability, barriers to higher education, school reform, health care equity and human rights.
