SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES
2019-2020 ANNUAL REPORT
2019-2020 ANNUAL REPORT
SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES Binghamton University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is a research-intensive school on the leading edge of pharmacy education, providing students with opportunities to work directly with faculty in drug discovery, cancer, Lyme disease, opioid use syndrome, muscular dystrophy and patientoriented clinical research. At the same time, our students can choose to follow The Rural and Underserved Service Track (TRUST) that prepares them to serve rural, underserved populations through interprofessional teamwork. Our school’s research continues to expand as we bring on faculty and garner federal and private industry funding, and our partnerships with hospitals and healthcare facilities have expanded to allow us to realize a Clinical Education Center on the Northwell Health campus, providing our students yet another opportunity to access expertise and hone their pharmacy skills. With sound educational, clinical and research experiences gained during their time at Binghamton, our students are being prepared to practice at the top of their license no matter what career path they choose. This 2019-2020 annual report is a comprehensive account of the achievements of our faculty — including their research presentations, publications and funding — in a year that was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
