Choose What Happens When You Insert Each Type of Media Device Whenever you insert a media device, an auto-play window will show up. This window is meant to help you launch the media faster.You can change what happens when you insert each type of media device by going to control panel and selecting the Autoplay icon. Another way of opening Autoplay is to go to the Start menu and write “Autoplay".Then press "Enter”. As you can see in the following window, you can choose what action will be taken whenever you insert a media device. If you see the checkbox in the picture below, it says “Use AutoPlay for all media and devices”, which means whenever you insert a media or device the autoplay will pop up.
If you want to specify what will happen when you insert a media device, uncheck the check boxes, then select the acton that you want to happen. Play around with these settings and even if you mess things up dont worry, you can reset to default settings by pressing the rest button at the bottom of the window.
