The internet has changed over the years, into a more malicious place. Nowadays, there are plenty of fake ads that will install a toolbar or set your homepage to their website. They can also install an extension or a plug-in without your desire or knowledge. This all makes your browser slower while overloading your computer. It's just annoying and disorganized. So, in this tutorial we'll go over how to restart a browser to default settings. This will make the browser faster. We will start with the Google Chrome browser.
Resetting Google Chrome
Start by going to "Settings" by clicking the button in the upper right-hand corner, as seen below.
After the "Settings" window opens, go to the very bottom and click "Show advanced settings".
Now, click "reset browser settings". So easy, right?
Resetting Mozilla Firefox Open Mozilla Firefox and go to the help menu. Under the help submenu, press “Troubleshooting Information� like in the following picture.
Once you press “Troubleshooting Information" the following window will show up. As you can see in the picture, the reset button for Firefox is on the top right corner of the screen.
After you press “Reset Firefox”, the following window will show up. Once you press “Reset Firefox,” everything will be removed, except "Windows and Tabs"," Saved passwords" and few other things as seen below:
Resetting Internet Explorer To reset Internet Explorer, go to the tools menu, like in the following picture.
After you that press the "Internet Options" submenu, the following window will show up.
You'll find the reset button on the bottom of the screen. Click it, and the following window will show up. Press “Reset� and wait for Internet Explorer to finish. After this, Internet Explorer will be set to the initial state.l
