v i e w is a photo magazine put together by Bianca Daamo, a student from Xavier UniversityAteneo de Cagayan, showcasing the 2017 Higalaay Festival, which is annually celebrated during the feast day of their patron saint St. Augustine. Cagayan de Oro City - dubbed as the City of Golden Friendship - changed the name of their annual festival from Kagay-an Festival to Higalaay Festival in 2014 to better embody what it’s known for—the hospitality of its people. This magazine hopes to display the harmony, vibrance, friendship, and inclusivity present in a Kagay-anon celebration despite the different views or perspectives its culturally-diverse people hold.
