The Universidad Nacional del Litoral is a public institution devoted to higher education scientific research and cultural development of the region education, region. It was created in 1919 on the basis of the Universidad Provincial de Santa Fe (founded in 1889).

It is an academic unit, a leading nationwide, unique in its kind in the region and the country.
The FICH is renowned as a benchmark institution in the country, not only for the teaching excellence but also for the scientific advancement in related areas and the constant search for innovative response to the community’s community s needs.

The FICH C has a ffive-story building located in University Campus, which concentrates faculties, schools, research institutes, as well as an ecological reserve and a large field for sports and recreation.
The Faculty: FICH Over 4000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. 4 engineering careers 6 undergraduate careers and 6 postgraduate careers. Over 60 research project currently running. More than 500 technological consulting agreements with public and private institutions for the last 20 years.

Library
“Dr. Ezzio Emiliani” Centralized Library It serves three Faculties: Faculty of Biochemistry and Biological Sciences Faculty of Engineering and Water Science Faculty of Medical Sciences It has 25,000 books and periodical publications (journals).
Hydraulic Labs
It is one of the largest and most modern in the country at university level. The characteristics of its facilities and the size of its channels allow simulation of large-scale rivers like the Paranรก River.
Sedimentology Lab
The facilities are suitable for processing samples of suspended and bottom sediments of a fluvial stream.

It has the necessary equipment for analyzing concentration and particle size of fluvial sediments.
Chemical and Environmental Lab
The laboratory has equipment that allows perform physicochemical analysis of water samples and perform tests for the characterization and treatability of effluents.

Electronic Lab
It has special equipment for teaching activities and the tools necessary for the maintenance of such equipment.
Computer Rooms
Consists of five rooms that include more than 80 PCs, plotters, scanners, digitizing tables and digital projection equipment. They are intended, predominantly, for graduate and postgraduate teaching.
Cartography and Remote Sensing Laboratory
Its full equipment is used for both teaching and research and technical assistance activities.
Video-Game Innovation Lab Its mission It i i is i to t provide id a space ffor tteachers, h researchers, h students, t d t graduates, programmers, video game designers and artists to train and access the latest techniques and tools, and to develop innovative projects with impact on the industry industry. It is also used for teaching activities in the framework of the technician in Video Game Design and Programming.
Special room for enterprisings
It is a physical space with equipment and personnel to provide technical support to members of the university community to develop projects involving business plans.
Hydrometeorological Station
It is used for teaching and research activities, generating further information to serve society society.
