Erase Stain Removal System features/benefits: BioGuard Erase® Metal Stain Identification Kit • Easy 2-step process to identify metal stain type • Convenient packaging

Nothing can spoil the appearance of your pool like a stain. Most stains are caused by metals that were once dissolved in your water but have fallen out on your pool surface. The two most common stains are caused by copper or iron but the treatment for these two stains are not alike. This is why it is important to identify which type of stain you have before you start treating the stain. Copper stains tend to discolor pool surfaces with an aquamarine or blue stain. Iron stains tend to discolor pool surfaces with a rust or brown colored stain. Metals can enter into pools in several different ways. The most common is from the fill water, especially with iron. However, copper can find its way in to a pool not only from the fill water, but also from unchelated copperbased algicides and corroded copper heaters.
