After intensive research and interviews in the field of nature-inspired innovation, we built a diverse network of over 1500 academics and 100+ research labs in the UK. This report is an overview of the ecosystem of nature-inspired technologies from research to market as well as an insight into the most common challenges and opportunities in this highly interdisciplinary field. Applying advanced data analysis techniques, we managed to distill and reveal the roadmaps of nature-inspired technology from an idea to reality within the UK. Biomimicry Innovation Lab is a York-based design agency that helps brands to create sustainable and innovative solutions with nature-inspired intelligence and strategies.
