DH Dual-Hazard FR fabric that exceeds industry standards.
INHERENTLY FR FABRICS
Springfield DH Dual-Hazard FR fabric exceeds industry standards. Springfield DH, our most recent inherently flame resistant fabric, exceeds industry standards by offering more than twice the protection of any chemically treated cotton/nylon fabric when exposed to a 4-second flash fire.* You can avoid a Third Hazard with Springfield DH. A third hazard is not knowing if the FR protection in your garment has been compromised by accidentally laundering with certain chemicals or bleach. Springfield DH fabric eliminates this hazard because it’s inherently FR. This ensures maximum protection against electric arc and flash fire for the life of the garment. Inherent FR protection cannot be washed out or worn away like FR treated cotton/nylon blends.
With Springfield DH, FR protection cannot be washed out or worn away.
Springfield DH fabric retains an excellent after-wash appearance and has a low propensity for pilling. In fact, under normal wear conditions, garments made with Springfield DH fabric can last up to two times longer than FR treated cotton/nylon garments. This new dual-hazard fabric is designed to withstand rigorous wash conditions in industrial laundries with no loss of FR properties. If you can wear the garment, you can be sure you’re protected. Union dye shades can be achieved with good colorfastness properties. Springfield DH is also available in ANSI 107 and CSA Z96 high visibility colors. Springfield DH retains significant strength and structural integrity after thermal exposure, ensuring the fabric remains intact. It will not melt, stick or drip when exposed to extreme temperature or flame. In addition to providing a high level of protection, Springfield DH also has excellent breathability and optimized moisture management to keep the wearer cooler, drier and more comfortable. Plus, it’s appropriate for casual wear – a big advantage for workers who prefer not to carry their clothing to the job site. The more you know about Springfield DH fabric, the safer you’ll be. *When tested according to ASTM F1930 at 2.0 cal/cm 2 /sec
