Size (approx) 100 x 100 cm
Materials
Classique Acrylic 8ply 100g x 4 balls
Needles And Extras
A 5mm circular needle (80cm long) or size that gives correct tension. A yarn needle.
Tension
17 sts to 10 cm in width over patt, using 5mm needles. This blanket has been worked on bigger needles than normally recommended.
Blanket
Using 5mm circular needle, cast on 169 sts.
Note – Work in rows, not rounds.
1st row (WS) – Knit.
2nd row – Knit.
3rd row – K3, purl to last 3 sts, K3. Last 3 rows form edging.
Beg Patt – 1st row (RS) – K4, * yfwd, K5, sl 1, K1, psso, yfwd, sl 1, K2tog, psso, yfwd, K2tog, K5, yfwd, K1, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3.
2nd row – K3, purl to last 3 sts, K3.
3rd row – As 1st row of patt.
4th row – Knit.
5th row – Knit.
6th row – Knit.
Rows 1 to 6 incl form patt. Cont in patt until work measures approx 100cm from beg, ending with a 5th row.
Cast off loosely knitways.
Finishing
DO NOT PRESS. Darn in ends towards centre of blanket. If desired, make 4 tassels and attach to each corner of blanket.
