In the Netherlands the noise level for shopping trolleys has been limited by law to 65 decibels since 1 November 2001. The main aim of this measure was to protect neighbouring residential areas around supermarkets from unpleasant noise. The physical and mental well-being of customers and personnel is also positively affected by this measure. Reason to act: Standard Wanzl shopping trolleys are already very quiet with exemplary values. With additional, optimised functional elements the remaining noise sources can be systematically further reduced.
