Here we go with the second brace of two months worth of amazing gigs from Eastside Jazz Club.

Come and be part of this super positive new ascendant star in the UK jazz scene!

It’s great to see we are building a regular audience who gravitate to one type of night or another. Please feel encouraged to explore the different themed nights Monday to Thursday and watch out for when we extend into Fridays.

We’ve had several sell-out nights so far so please book ahead early to guarantee a seat. Some truly heavy-weight artists have already endorsed the club as having a great acoustic to play and listen in and audiences are settling in to the authentic jazz club mode of a great night out.

John Turville piano James Maddren drums Dave Whitford bass Robbie Robson trumpet John Turville is one of the leading jazz pianists of his generation, and has won multiple awards for his two trio albums including MOJO’s #3 Jazz Album of the Year (2012), and ‘Best Album’ in the Parliamentary Awards 2011.

Practice authentic salsa dance moves with a professional instructor before hitting the dance floor in front of the live band. Free to ticket holders.

Cloudmakers’ soundworld defies category yet draws influence from a diverse range of music traditions, while maintaining a devotion to raw energy. Expect in the moment risk taking, a dedication to deep groove and rhythm, and strong melody.

ELLINGTON ORCHESTRA: LIVE AT THE CHICAGO BLUE NOTE 1959 6.30pm £8 (£6) Ellington Orchestra’s favourite club venue was the now famous Chicago Blue Note run by Frank Holzfeind. In this series of concerts we are using the legendary recording from this venue in August 1959 to try and recapture some of this spirit and to keep the flame burning for live big band jazz in a club setting.
