Choose a metro station in Delhi Map the local context Place the metro station in the given site Zone out the developable space Design the metro complex
Lajpat nagar is densely populated place Delhi with a pop. density of 11000 people / sqm with a dominant settlement of HIGs. Metro is a major transit option in Delhi. Considering the basic requirement and various factors related to travellers and vistors which are dealt on daily basis, a deisgn has been planned and proposed . The objective of my design is provide all required comodities in minimum reach.

The station has been position to give immediate acces from the pedestrian road being equidistant from the nearby zones.
This zone has public leisure spaces and services as well administration office. Zone with shops with comodities which are required on the go while entering and exiting the metro station premises.

Shops The extremes of the site have been kept as public spaces for leisure. The position also serves a balanced and close proximity to nearby different type of spaces especially close to Residential zone.

ST. ARCADE AT ENTRANCE
Entrance for Metro Complex (to metro station) Life in a metro city is quite busy. We need to spare some extra time to purchase daily usable commodities or food. That’s why these spaces have been positioned very near to the entrance of the metro station.
Delhi is one of the most unsafe city in India for women. So as to keep eye on streets and keep it alive on diurnal and nocturnal basis, these spaces have been keep near the entrance of metro complex.
THEME ART GALLERY Art Gallery for exhibition of Traditional or Fusion Indian Art. The space contains hanging display panels. Its has been made a double height space to allow ample light and also allow visitors to view from first floor.
ROADSIDE CAFE
PUBLIC SITING AREA This space is majorly for people buying books near the crossword store, to come and sit. It also has some advertisement posters to generate revenue for the site.

INDOOR PLAZA This space is for frequent visitors and has retail store, cafeteria and NGO named ‘One stop crisis centre’ which fights for safety of women.
CRECHE In a metro, it may be common for both parents have a job. A child care center has been placed in order to nurture their children in the day time.

The aim was to develop a pavilion for the Indian people to introduce various aspects of African tribal lifestyle. As one walks through the spaces, he/she can experience soothing African enviroment and see various African elements.

Semi open vernacular galleries with the indoor gallery, through an interim green cover blending into the ramps through double height grills. Circulation Spaces summing up as display zones with exhibits at nodes placed on a drop slab, floating over the green cover.

arts agora Art is a medium of delivering creativite skills, imagination and ideas in visual form by an Artist. Humans have evolved in this different dimension of expressionism which has brought many revolutions. Through various skills like painting, graphics and sculpture, Artists have given eyes to see the world in a different way. With the beauty and emotional power, Artist tend to show the relative vision of human activities in a deeper level. Infuence of art has grown in modern world. Its has become important to place human technical requirement to be covered with the envelope of artistic and aesthetic beauty. Justification of an idea is not completed unless it is placed relative and interactive. For such a place of art, it is prior necessary to create an space which give more intense identity to the enviroment. My epression for the place has been put with various artistic approach with a consideration that Architecture is a 3-dimensional piece of art. The space serves as a platform for presenting art in these fields -

INTERIOR DESIGN PHYSICIAN’S CLINIC A healthy lifestyle is what everyone should adapt. Most of us do not start such a way of living but a space which can intrigue and inspire a person to adapt one. The sole aim of the project was to design an interior space for the user so as to promote healthy lifestyle. The attempt has been put in the design to let the visitors especially patients bring close to nature. The ambience in the space would lead the visitors to have an inner satisfaction and create a placebo effect.
WAITING AREA Waiting is the one of the most unwanted period of time for everyone. But it can be made better by having good atmosphere. The area has been demarcated for the waiting visitors while in close viscinity to registration counter, coffee shop and provided elements for leisure.
