SEND IT! 24/7 CORNHOLE WINS MANDAN BUSINESS PITCH CHALLENGE

Send It! 24/7 Cornhole was announced as the winner of Mandan’s 2023 Business Pitch Challenge. Send It! 24/7 Cornhole is a cornhole event center with a full bar, axe throwing and more.

The winning business received monetary prizes, the chance to be eligible for up to a $10,000 forgivable loan from the Mandan Growth Fund, plus a host of other prizes to assist on their entrepreneurial journey. Audience members also selected them for a people’s choice award.

First runner-up was Inside Park an indoor park geared towards young children planned by Brittany Kennedy. Third place honors go to Just You Studios, a home office and entrepreneurial community connecting local creative entrepreneurs with area resources by Katie Bowers. The other finalist is Josette Dupree of Big Stick Cigars, a vintage tobacconist’s shop. Judges evaluated applications and executive summaries of business plans submitted by finalists as well as their live pitch presentations and responses to questions.

The Mandan Tomorrow - Economic Opportunity and Prosperity Committee hosted the competition with assistance from the City of Mandan Business Development Department, North Dakota Small Business Development Center, and the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC.

Chamber Edc Board Supports

Airport Grant

At its April Board meeting the Chamber EDC Board of Director’s voted unanimously to support the Bismarck Airport’s application for the Small Community Air Service Development Grant (SCASDG).

In addition to supporting the application the Chamber EDC Board also agreed to provide $2,500 towards the community contribution. The grant program is designed to help small communities address air service and airfare issues.

If the Bismarck Airport is selected and awarded the grant, the dollars will be used to attract a carrier that will provide a route to the southeast United States.
