HAVE QUESTIONS? Jennifer L. Kessler, P.E.

WHAT IS THE 2+2 PROGRAM? After two years at Bismarck State College, the 2+2 program allows students who have earned their Associate in Science degree the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering at UND in approximately 2 years. In two years, the program can be completed both oncampus or online through the Distance Engineering Program meaning students can complete their coursework remotely.

Cost Efficiency In just two years, BSC students with an Associate in Science degree can get their Bachelor of Science degree from UND. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, engineers have a median annual wage of $91,010 and the engineering field projects to have employment growth of nearly 140,000 new jobs over the next decade.

Above the Industry Standard The partnership between Bismarck State College and UND’s College of Engineering & Mines gives students the ability to learn industry skills and knowledge. Students graduating from the 2+2 program are more than ready for their first engineering jobs after college. Throughout their education, students receive: • A grounding in chemistry, engineering, and physics • Knowledge about ethics, safety, communications and other skills necessary to pursuing an entry-level job in engineering • A firm understanding of the issues affecting the industry, including science and technology; economics and business; policy and regulation; and society and behavior.
