STALKING
• Stalking is a pattern of behavior that makes you feel afraid, nervous, harassed or in danger.It iswhensomeone repeatedly contactsyou,sendsyou things,talkstoyouwhen youdon’t want them to, or threatensyou. • You can be stalked by someone you know casually, a current boyfriend or girlfriend, someone you dated in the past or a stranger. • Stalking is a crime and can be dangerous. According to North
Dakota Century Code 12.1-17.07.1 in part, states, “Stalk means to engage in an intentional course of conduct directed at a specific person which frightens, intimidates, or harasses that person, and that serves no legitimate purpose. The course of conduct may be directed toward that person or a member of that person’s immediate family and must cause a reasonable person to experience fear, intimidation, or harassment.” • Any of this behavior either experienced or observed should be reported to BSC Campus Safety & Security at 224-2700.
