• Regularly use system-level data to improve instruction for all students • Regularly analyze student-level data to ensure all students are benefitting from instruction • Identify potential skill gaps or additional academic needs for all students

• Provide evidence-based interventions and additional instruction for students with additional support needs • Monitor all students' individual progress • Adapt intervention type and intensity, based on ongoing data and student needs.

Bixby Public Schools utilizes local, state, and technology-enhanced curriculum to support student learning. Our goal is for students to be creative and curious critical thinkers who own their learning as they solve problems and become global citizens. BPS is a Great Expectations district. BPS practices the basic tenets and life principles of the Great Expectations program which promote a culture of respect and academic excellence.

assessed to monitor student progress. Data used to monitor student progress may include the following: behavior; attendance records; common assessments; student grades; credit deficiencies; and discipline referrals. If a student is determined to need additional support, further screening assessments may be utilized to identify specific skill needs. Data is reviewed by our Spartan Intervention Team (SIT), which includes teachers, administrators, school counselors, and specialists. Any student support or intervention needed will be based on data collected. The process benefits students by identifying who needs support and providing support quickly. This translates to student success through: • Evidence-based intervention targeting student needs
SHARING CONCERNS If you have concerns regarding your child's education, including academic, behavioral, or social concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher, Terry Adams, BHS Principal, or any of the BHS Counselors.
• Collaboration between parents and school teams • Regular review of student progress to examine the effectiveness of supports
