1. Installation

Step 1 Check Permissions Make sure the ''app'', ''js'' and ''skin'' directories of your Magento and all directories inside it have full written permissions or set permissions on the each directory equal to 777 or 0777. Important! Change all permissions back after installation. Read more about permission at http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/magento_filesystem_permissions

Step 2 Disable Compilation Log into Magento Admin Panel and go to System â&#x2020;&#x2019; Tools â&#x2020;&#x2019; Compilation and disable the compilation. After step 5 you can run the compilation process again.

Step 3 Upload Files Upload all folders from the extension package to the installation directory of your Magento software using an FTP client.

Step 4 Clear cache Go to System → Cache Management. Clear the store cache.

Step 5 Re-login Log out and log back into Magento Admin Panel.

Step 6 Use Extension Go to System → Configuration. In the left column you will see the new tab – Biztech Extensions -> Product Designer.

2. Installation (Custom Theme)

Please do the next steps after the Installation:

Step 1 Copy layout and template folders from app/design/frontend/default/default folder to app/design/frontend/your_package/your_theme folder

Step 2 Copy css and images folders from skin/frontend/default/default folder to skin/frontend/your_package/your_theme folder

3. Extension Activation

Step 1 Copy an activation key Copy the activation key from the Order Confirmation Email. OR Log in into your account at http://store.biztechconsultancy.com website using the e-mail and password that you provided at checkout process. Go to Downloadable Options and copy the activation key for the Advance Product Designer extension.

Step2 Activate an extension Log into Magento Admin Panel and go to System → Configuration → Biztech Extensions → Product Designer → Product Designer Activation and enter the activation key in the ''Activation Key'' field for the Advance Product Designer extension then click the “Save Config”

Step3 Select Websites When you enter and save the key it will be verified and then you can select the websites where you need to use the Advance Product Designer. Click the ''Save Config'' button after making your selections.

You are now ready to use the Advance Product Designer extension. Now, Advance Product Designer got activated! You just have to set configurations.

4. Configuration Configuration Please follow the below steps to enable the functionality of Advance Product Designer. Go to system -> configuration In the left column you will see the tab Biztech Extensions -> Product Designer.

 General Configuration  Enable: Select "Yes" to enable the Advance Product Designer extension. The extension is disabled by default.  Enabled Design Button on Category Page: Select yes to enable Design Button on Category Page.  Disable Add to Cart button on Category Page: Select Yes to Disable Add to Cart button on Category Page.  Fixed Price for design area: Admin can set a fixed price for a custom design of the product.  Price per image: Set a price for each image added to the product design area.  Price per text: Set a price for each word added to the product design area.  Price per Custom uploaded Image: Set a price for each image that is uploaded by customers to design product.  Image width, px: Set image width for displaying on design page. (Max width should be 540px otherwise design can be break.)  Image height, px: Set image height for displaying on design page. (Max height should be 650px otherwise design can be break.)  Page Title: Set the Product Designer page title for website.

 Clipart Configuration  Enable Clipart: Set "Yes" if you want to show the Clipart tab on the Designer page.

 Text Configuration  Enable Text Tab: Set "Yes" if you want to show the Text tab on the Designer page.  Enable Google Fonts: Select yes to enable “Google Fonts” on the designer page to change text font.  Google Font List: Select fonts which you want to show on the design page.  Default Font Size: Select a font size that will be chosen in the Design page by default.  Default Font: Select a font that will be chosen in the Design page by default.

 Custom Image Upload Configuration  Enable Upload Custom Image: Set "Yes" if you want to show the Upload Image option on the Product Design page.

5. How to Setup?

Please follow below steps for setup Advance Product Designer Extension: Step 1: Navigate to Admin Panel and go to Product Designer → Manage Cliparts and click on “Add Clipart” to add clipart images.

Step 2: Upload images and save clipart. Admin can set clipart category as main or sub category.

Step 3: Go to Product Designer → Manage Fonts to upload different fonts.

Upload system or non system fonts and then click on save button.

Step 4: Navigate to Catalog → Attributes → Manage Attributes. Open “color” attribute. Here upload color swatch images and save attribute.

Step 5: Create configurable product based on “color” attribute and upload all images in configurable product.

Step 6: Click on particular product that you wants to customize. Go to product and set "Yes" in the Enable Product Designer field in “General” section if you want to make this product to be available for designing.

Step 7: After save product go to images tab and set image “color” and save product.

Step 8: After save product set design area for all images. Click on “Edit Design Area Link” to open selection area window.

Set design area as per your requirement that allows customer to design product in that particular specified area. Click on “Save Design Area”. If you want to set same design area for all images of that product than check checkbox of (Apply selection area all images) and then click on “Save Design Area” button.

All Set! Now, you are ready to use extension. Go to frontend and open product and design it in your way.

6. Quick Notes

Advance Product Designer extension work for simple and configurable products only. It works with default â&#x20AC;&#x153;colorâ&#x20AC;? attribute. You have to set design area for all images if Product Designer is enabled for that product. It does not working with Magento 1.4 versions and lower. It does not works with Internet Explorer 6 , 7 and 8;

It may be not work properly with custom theme , you have to make some customization for that.
