BRAND STRATEGY BASICS WORKBOOK

What Is A Brand?

In the simplest of terms, it is your company or organzation's outward identity. How do others see you?

Start Here! Before you can start defing who your customer wil be, you need to know who you are and what you do.

What is your mission and vision?

What do you do and why do you do it? (Products, Services, Benefits)

What makes you unique? (How do you stand out from everyone else)

Important Note: If you have trouble answering any of the above questions, then it's time to pause and do a deep dive. Consider surveying members of your community and asking them how they perceive you.

Targeting Your Audience What problem do you solve?

Where do they live and work?

What are their interests? Are they single or married? Any pets? What causes do they care about? Are they on social media? Which ones? What do they dislike?

Important Note: "Everyone" is not in your target audience. The more broad your audience, the harder it will be to market and connect with them.

EFFECTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA FREQUENCY 1-3 Posts Daily (Schedule for optimal times using Meta business manager) 1-3 Posts Daily w/ 3-5 Hashtags (Schedule for optimal times using Meta business manager) 15-23 Per Day Is Optimal (Very hard to maintain engagement without consistency) 1-3 Posts Daily (Keep it professional. The quality matters more than quantity) At least 1 Post Per Day (Make sure your content is engaging)

5-10 Pins Daily (Make sure you're using fresh images, and your content is relevant to your board)

CRAFTING YOUR CALL TO ACTION Now that you've defined who you are, who your audience is, and where to reach them, it's time to ask them to take action. Write your goals in the boxes below. What do you want your audience to do?

USE THE BOXES BELOW TO CRAFT YOUR MESSAGES

Best Practices 1 Be authentic. If something doesn't align with your brand, don't do it.

2 Learn to write good copy, or hire someone who does. If your copy isn't engaging your audience, change it!

3 Keep it positive. Even if someone responds negatively to your brand, don't respond in a combative nature.

4 Try hard to keep the colors and language you use consistent.
