Gossen’s Digisky ($450 Street Price) Light meter offers wireless triggering for Elinchrom’s Skyport triggers. Acccording to Gossen, support will be added via firmware updates for more radio triggering systems. Triple Threat from IDC PhotoVideo allows imagers to mount three speedlights on the shaft of giant umbrellas or pop up, umbrellastyle soft boxes. The Universal model ($49 MAP)works for most flashes including Canon’s. A Nikon model ($59 MAP) is available for the SB 900/910 or Nikon flashes which use a Mount pin. The Olympus Zuiko 45mm f/1.8 micro 4/3s lens ($399 Street Price) is a fast prime ready for portrait action. It is equivalent to a focal length of 90mm in 35mm speak. Westcott 7 foot Parabolic Umbrellas ($99 Street) offer broad light control in-studio or on-location . The Umbrella is available in silver, white (reflective,) or white diffusion surfaces. Nikon’s SB 910 ( $550 Street Price) replaces the SB 900 and offers: A revised Graphic User Interface; thermal protection against overheating; fluorescent and tungsten color correction filters; and automatic white balance adjustment to match the filter in use. Tripad ($95 Street Price) offers a tripod-mountable workstation solution with slide out extension leaves which can accommodate a laptop and mouse while shooting.
