We started this adventure 3 years ago with a great hunger for fashion, a huge heart for music, a big passion for design, and making beautiful things! Little did we know that this would be the start of a great journey. new challenges, rushes, deadlines and excitements! The variety of work, is what keeps triggering us; One day you’re sweating your pants off building up a stand on an fashion exhibition. Another day, we are negotiating and networking like real business women, and the day after that back to the drawing tables doing what we do best: creating and styling! The ultimate satisfaction is seeing one of our designs walking down the street! Because we create for real women and men regardless their size, forms or shape. We want you all to shine and be Nouveau Chic! So who are we? We are Cléo Baele and Sarah Bos, the creative duo behind Black Balloon, a label from Ghent, Belgium. A brand of clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women, where music and emotions set the tone. The men and woman collections combine female and tough elements, simply yet edgy, as we like to call it. Next to our prêt-à-porter collection, made prints and ingenious designs, every time with that extra va-va-voom. As if there’s music in our designs and we turned it up a notch! We won the prestigious Fred and Ginger price for the most promfor best foreign men collection.

Black Balloon designs prints, uniforms, theater costumes, made to measure or other concepts, every time with an eye for the client’s style & demand. An example of our B2B creations were the uniforms of the hosts and hostesses for the established company the International Design Biennale Interior 2010. We also created a laundry bag in house style for WASBAR. Wasbar is a new concept laundry where you can do your laundry obviously, but also meet great people, drink and eat or even go to a concert!
BODY CANDY
The Black collection, our new premium line is colourful, a total concept, with custom made prints as a base of this collection. We have found inspiration in our roots, our memories of family get together and summer holiday photos. It seems that passion for music and the joy for life are in our genes!
For this season it’s all about the sugar rush it’s all about the candy crush it’s about fire and spice, the gazing in their eyes it’s about the beauty of sweetness like water on ice, absorbed within its bliss, longing for that zesty kiss colours doesn’t lie it’s (all) about the attraction in the dye The result is a special collection featuring bold dea continuity in Black Balloon’s collections.
