Unique Wedding Venues Around the World

Finding the right venue to say the two most important words ever, “I do” can be quite a task. So, we turned to our expert photographer friend, Courtney Cobb from Eliza Jane Photography to round up some of the most unique wedding venues from around the world.

As a wedding photographer with a serious case of wanderlust, I’ve had some incredible opportunities to see some beautiful places all around the world. From dreamy locales to historical sites, there are so many unique locations all around the world where you can celebrate your love. Here are a few places that I think would be a fabulous venue for your wedding.

Quinta da Regaleira

Sintra, Portugal

A picturesque estate located in Sintra, Portugal, Quinta da Regaleira is filled with many gems that would transform your wedding day into a gothic inspired fantasy. The grounds of the estate contain a chapel, the Initiation wells, a palace, hidden tunnels, and expansive gardens that will make your fairytale wedding into a reality.

Tower of London

London, United Kingdom

The Tower of London is a fortress that is steeped in hundreds of years of rich history and has housed many British monarchs. If you are looking for a venue that’s versatile, has an industrial feel, and can easily be transformed into anything, the Tower of London would be just right for you.

Plaza de España

Seville, Spain

Built in 1929 as a landmark to celebrate Spanish culture and achievement, this stunning plaza in the beautiful city of Seville would provide a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding day. With moats, bridges, beautiful tiles, and Renaissance and Moorish architectural influences, the Plaza de España is sure to enchant you.

Four Seasons Resort: The Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru

Baa Atoll, Maldives

The overwater Wedding Pavilion at the Four Seasons Resort Maldives is one truly unique wedding venue (and one of my dream destinations!). With space to accommodate sixteen guests in addition to the wedded couple, the overwater Wedding Pavilion is only accessible by boat. If you are planning an elopement or small intimate wedding ceremony, this place is perfect. An added bonus: the glass floors allow you to see below into the ocean.

Celebrate your union with breathtaking views of London at the Sky Garden. The three-story venue in the heart of Central London is filled with botanical gardens, lounging areas, and floor to ceiling glass windows that give you a spectacular 360º view of the city. It would truly be a magical place to have your wedding day.

An expression of an emperor’s love for his wife, the Taj Mahal is a very famous location. With its beautiful white marble walls, colorful gemstones, and intricate designs, the Taj Mahal is a place that will set the bar for your wedding day.
