Adopt a new best friend at ARF in Walnut Creek! View available dogs and cats online or visit ARF in-person: Tuesday-Sunday, 12-6 pm, with early-bird sign-in available on weekdays beginning at 9 am. Our team is excited to guide you in choosing a pet, share information about their history and behavior, and provide helpful resources.

Here are a couple of our adorable animals looking for love:

Two-year-old Ben is a handsome and polite sweetheart with a sensitive side that will melt your heart like ice cream in the sun, but much less of a bummer – quite the opposite, in fact! Seeing this wonderful boy come out of his shell is heartwarming in the best of ways. He will need an adopter who will help him with socializing and building up his confidence, plus he would love to continue working on his manners with you. Being quite the food-motivated boy, he will gladly work with you in exchange for some scrumptious treats! And did we mention that this boy truly loves to be outside? We sense an adventure hound in the making with this guy. He can’t wait to be the mint to your chocolate cookie, the raspberry to your cheesecake, and the Ben to your Jerry. Come meet him today – a loyal, loving, new best friend awaits you! Ben has a positive history with other dogs. He currently weighs 49 pounds.

ARF adoption fees:

• $250 for an adult dog

• $375 for a puppy (<6 months)

• $150 for a special-needs dog

• $200 for a special-needs puppy (<6 months)

• $150 for a senior dog (7+ years)

• Adoption fees waived for US military Veterans

Four-year-old Miss Piggy is a homebody that loves spending time with her future human family. She’s a warm cuddler and loves to lay in the sun and get her daily entertainment in by watching the neighborhood birds fly by. She’s got beautiful orange sun-kissed fur. If you love petting cats, she is your girl!

ARF adoption fees:

• $125 for an adult cat

• $175 for a kitten (<6 months)

• $200 for two adult cats, $300 for two kittens

• $75 for a special-needs cat

• $100 for a special-needs kitten (<6 months)

• $75 for a senior cat (7+ years)
