But now is also the time to join the Friends organization! There are membership benefits you won’t want to miss:

Membership in the Friends of the Danville Library have helped support our library in so many ways:

• For children: Town of Danville Kidchella Summer Reading and Music Festival Series, Library Activity Bags with interactive crafts and activities, Summer Reading Program where each young reader who finishes gets a free book prize,

• For teens: Danville Library Teen Advisory Board (the largest in the county!), the Library’s first Teen Zone and Teen Trivia Night Program,

• For adults/seniors: Health and Wellness Presentations, countywide eBook/audiobook collections (Danville users are the fourth highest user group in Contra Costa!),

• Plus, the Friends supported large family programs at the Library such as a performance by Puppet Art Theater as well as funded the purchase of new books and materials.

You can get a membership form at the library or the bookstore— or download one from the library website—and turn it in at the bookstore. You will make a big difference to our Danville library! Thank you for being a Friend!
