The Blackhawk Chorus Updates

TheBlackhawk Chorus sang to sold out performances in December for their winter program “Home for the Holidays”! They performed four concerts in a jam-packed weekend: two with the Diablo Symphony in Walnut Creek, one at Monte Vista High School, and their biannual dinner show at the Blackhawk Country Club. Their performance set featured traditional holiday hits such as Deck the Hall and three pieces from Handel’s Messiah (including the Hallelujah Chorus), and surprised guests with a beautiful medley from John Williams’ score of the movie Home Alone. The Blackhawk Chorus is made up of almost 100 members, and includes two specialty groups. Bella Voce--meaning “beautiful voice”--is an all female ensemble who woo’ed the audience with their rendition of “Man with a Bag” (pictured in their gray shawls). The Blackhawk Jazz--featured in their winter white garb--crooned “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and shooed away “Jack Frost Get Lost.”
