The Tri-Valley Animal Rescue: Meet Yosemite

Poor little 10-week old Yosemite was very sick. He and his brother Lincoln fell ill with the Parvovirus, and while Lincoln healed very quickly, Yosemite did not. In order to fight off the virus and regain their strength, the puppies are treated with medication which they’re given with food. With Yosemite, the virus had progressed so much that he was nauseous and wouldn’t eat, one of the symptoms of the virus, along with diarrhea, fever, and lethargy. Consequently, this little guy had to be put on tube feeding so he could get the nutrients and necessary antibiotics to help him get well.

Established in 1992, Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) is a 501(c)3 that helps save over a 1,000 animals a year in the Tri-Valley and surrounding areas. TVAR cooperates with area shelters and rescue groups, primarily the East County Animal Shelter, to provide homeless animals with socialization, foster homes, medical care and an opportunity for a second chance. Yosemite is one of those animals that we wanted to give a second chance to.
