It’s a beautiful time of the year! The Holiday season at Disneyland Resort, including the Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure, celebrates this season with special entertainment, music and food. No matter what the season, I love feeling like a kid again! I am often made fun of for standing in lines cheering and getting enlivened to meet and get photos with various Disney characters including the superheroes at Hollywood Land. The thrill of making new discoveries, riding the most exciting imaginative and colorful rides never fades away. Few of my favorite stops in both the parks from my recent annual visit are:

Carsland and its residents all decked up for the Holidays

Carsland-which is aglow with Christmas and neon lights,

World of Color at Paradise Pier-Season of Light nighttime spectacular,

Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle,

Christmas Fantasy Parade with Mickey, Minnie and various Disney characters alongside Santa Claus,

Plus many more.

Celebration of various cultures

It being an energetic and fun-filled day, myself and the kids often take breaks and eat at the multiple food stands that feature everything from global bites to comfort foods to traditional holiday goodies. Holidays also bring seasonally themed souvenirs to the stores making shopping merrier for us. We love hanging out at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. Too many goodies for a big kid like me!

Icicle-adorned Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle

I definitely found my holiday magic at Disneyland. My happy place indeed! But now back home in Blackhawk, my Christmas tree is adorned and twinkling in the magic of both old and new Disney ornaments, reminding me of the happy times with Mickie, Minnie and the whole gang. For the kid in me, it’s so hard to wait till the next time!
