Thank you for helping my Grandma.

“As a busy working mother I simply couldn’t find the time required to help my Grandmother. Her house was too much work for her, she had 30 years worth of stuff in the basement and I didn’t know where to start. I called Shelley and she got right to work. She knew what to do and got it done.” Helping your family members prepare their home for sale doesn’t have to turn your life upside down. Call for a consultation today.

Medical Services Plan 604-683-7151 Automated Service (24 hours per day, 7 days per week) www.hibc.gov.bc.ca Offers basic medical coverage to residents of British Columbia. New residents to the province are eligible for coverage after a waiting period of the remainder of the month of arrival plus two full months. MSP pays all medically required services of physicians and surgeons (and dental surgery if performed in a hospital). Routine eye exams are a benefit for people under the age of 18 years and for those 65 years and older. For people who receive Premium Assistance, MSP also pays the cost of a combined annual limit of 10 visits for chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathy, physical therapy, acupunture and non-surgical podiatry when performed by a practitioner enrolled with MSP. (MSP pays $23 for each visit, patient is responsible for any charge over and above.) Among the services not covered by MSP are dental services (other than dental surgery performed in a hospital), eyeglasses, hearing aids and other equipment, annual or other examinations where there is no medical requirement e.g., for driving a motor vehicle / life insurance purposes, or the services of

To be covered by MSP you must apply and pay monthly premiums. If your income is low and you are a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and have lived in Canada for the last 12 months you may be eligible to receive premium assistance. Gold cards are automatically issued prior to your 65th birthday. If you lose your Care Card, call Seniors OneStop (604- 983-3303 or 604-925-7474) for an application for replacement.

PharmaCare

BC’s PharmaCare Program provides access to prescription drugs. The lower your income, the more assistance the government provides. Register by calling 604-683-7151 or on-line at www.health.gov.bc.ca/pharmacare. Under Fair PharmaCare, your family is responsible for the cost of your prescription drugs until you have paid your full deductible. After reaching your deductible, PharmaCare pays the majority of eligible prescription costs and you are responsible only for a co-payment. Your co-payments continue until the annual maximum based on your family’s income is reached. After that, PharmaCare pays the full amount of all eligible prescription costs. The monthly deductible payment option allows you to spread the cost of the

Services include monitoring of nutritional needs, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility and transfers, safe medication management, prevention of falls, respite for caregivers, and socialization in the community. Home Support Services is a subsidized service that is available for eligible clients who are living at home and have acute, chronic, palliative or rehabilitative health care needs. A referral to the home health program can be made by anyone and you are eligible for service if you are a non-sponsored Canadian citizen or permanent resident, have lived in British Columbia for the previous 3 months and are 19 years of age or older. Take control of your genes You have more power than you think. A family history of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease or Alzheimer’s can be cause for concern. But research from the DNA genome project has now shown us that our genes are only potential indicators. Diet and lifestyle choices that we make determine whether or not genes are “turned on or off.” This can have a major impact on health and quality of life. Through years of continuous study, I have found a comprehensive diet, exercise and stress management program that has been scientifically tested and found to produce healthy body composition changes. If you want to improve your cholesterol; lower your blood sugar; get rid of carbohydrate cravings; loose weight and have more energy: First Line Therapy is for you.
