Continuing our tradition of publishing stellar works in the historical-fiction genre, our spring lineup includes Marj Charlier’s The Rebel Nun, which brings to life the true story of a rebellion led by nuns against the church in sixth-century Gaul, and Joy Lanzendorfer’s Right Back Where We Started From, a sweeping family saga that follows three generations of women from the California Gold Rush to World War II as they attempt to claim what they believe is rightfully theirs.

Fans of adventure thrillers will be captivated by Harry Farthing’s powerful novel The Ghost Moths, which centers on an English climber in Tibet. The highly anticipated third book in New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sansbury Smith’s postapocalyptic Sons of War series will release in February. Will Staples’ novel Animals, publishing in March 2021, weaves together the stories of a South African Defense Force veteran on a vigilante mission to take down an animal-trafficking syndicate, and a US insurance investigator looking into a suspicious private Florida zoo, where a tiger cub has brought a deadly disease that could unleash a human pandemic. Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson’s Sons of Valor will be the first book in a riveting new Navy SEAL military-fiction series.

In the literary fiction genre, following the success of his debut novel All Things Left Wild, James Wade’s second novel, River, Sing Out, will release this season. We are also proud to publish Competitive Grieving, a darkly comedic new work by acclaimed novelist Nora Zelevansky, and we will launch Cormorant Lake, the debut novel from Faith Merino.

This spring, we will celebrate the centennial of James Clavell, who was born in 1921. Blackstone is proud to release newly designed, must-have reissues of Clavell’s beloved epics, including Shogun, Gai-Jin, Tai-Pan, Noble House, and more.

The Blackstone team is looking forward to connecting with you and sharing this latest list of titles filled with remarkable new voices and discoveries.
