Blackstone Publishing has forged a new partnership with Weird Tales, the iconic horror/sci-fi, and fantasy brand, to launch a brand new publishing program that will bring the amazing, innovative stories it is known for to a whole new generation of readers. The first novel under the new Weird Tales Presents and Blackstone Publishing partnership is slated to release in Fall of 2022. The full plan is the creation of fifty books over five years, including original novels and anthologies, compilations, and more, penned by some of the biggest names in horror and dark fiction, while also elevating and empowering new and marginalized voices. The partnership also includes the creation and distribution of print books, e-books, and audiobooks under the Weird Tales Presents brand. Additionally, Blackstone will distribute the digital and audio versions of the Weird Tales magazine. And in the Fall of 2023, readers can look forward to the 100 Year Weird Tales Commemorative Anthology, a project that will culminate a year-long centennial celebration.

The forthcoming projects released under our partnership will bring fresh interest to this legendary brand with a variety of stories that readers will no doubt savor. This is going to be terribly fun. —JOSH STANTON, President & CEO of Blackstone.

ABOUT WEIRD TALES:

Weird Tales is the place where two storytelling concepts meet: speculative and alternative. In 1923, when the magazine was originally founded, those two ideas amounted to the same thing. Weird Tales was launched to showcase writers trying to publish stories so bizarre and far out, no one else would publish them — stories of unearthly dimensions and dark possibilities, gothic seductresses and cosmic monstrosities. Today, Weird Tales carries that mission forward into the 21st century, finding the most talented new writers, artists, and creators whose visions are too incredible to fit within the comfortable little boxes of everyday experience.
