What is an interesting piece of work that the organisation has recently engaged in? The ATO was charged with assisting the community with the Government’s stimulus measures in providing Job Keeper Payments, Early Release of Superannuation, cashflow boost for employers and other projects. We have also made significant changes in the digital space with improving digital advancement of our taxation and superannuation systems.

How does the organisation seek its employees? We advertise through ATO Careers on our website for everyday recruitment, and for our Entry Level Programs, such as our Graduate Program, we advertise with Seek, GradAustralia and GradConnect, who link to most jobs boards in Universities across Australia.
What qualities does the ATO look for in future graduates? Does the ATO offer opportunities to students who are still studying, and how can individuals apply? Yes we do. We have a University Partnership Employment Program that enables students to work part-time with the ATO whilst studying.
Does the ATO offer opportunities for graduates, and how can individuals apply? Yes, we run a Graduate Program and applications open on 7th March and close 8th April.
What is the ATO’s focus? The ATO’s purpose is to contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of Australians by fostering willing participation in the tax and superannuation systems. We have two aspirations for 2023: • building trust and confidence; • being streamlined, integrated and data-driven.
What kind of work do employees at the ATO do? The ATO is a large organisation that requires skills from many industries throughout the community, for example, IT, HR, Data Analytics, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Law, Commerce, Business and Design.
