Here are The Wedding Expert & Wedding High we looking for a Wedding Planning Assistant & Digital Marketing Intern to work and learn with us. The position is ideally suited to a candidate wishing to pursue a career within the Wedding Industry or in Digital Marketing. The position will initially last 6 months and is an unpaid intern position. There is the possibility of extension or indeed progression into a paid position after the initial term. A minimum commitment of 14 hours per week is sought. The position is office based {North Co. Dublin} for 1 day per week with the remaining time being available remotely. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be required to attend meetings in Dublin and possibly around Ireland{ travel will be covered on these occasions} and so candidates should bear this in mind before applying. { Consideration/ rearrangement of working hours/ days can be made for those in full time education.} At this time the position is only open to those aged 18 years and above. Ideal Candidates are/ have:     

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Docs, DropBox Strong English writing skills Fluency in both written and spoken English Ability to work on one’s own initiative Dedicated, detail orientated and works well to deadlines

Familiar with all major social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Google +, YouTube,

   

LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest in particular is a bonus { education will be provided } Creative with an interest in style, fashion and weddings. Interest and ability to both write about and plan social occasions Interest in business, marketing and communications Ideas driven person who works well on their own and with others 1|P age


Good personality, especially on the phone, via email and through social media channels

*A third level qualification is not required for this position. Nor is experience in the wedding industry itself. All candidates fulfilling the above requirements will be considered regardless of age, educational background or work experience. Areas of education will include { but are not limited to } 

Being part of implementing and maintaining the Digital Media Plan{s} for all aspects of the company.

      

Contributing innovative ideas for strong & creative marketing campaigns via social media. Maintaining & Confirming working schedules Promotion of all aspects of business online and through social media Admin work Online PR Maintaining and expanding databases Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments;

   

Carrying out background research and presenting findings; Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations; Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings; Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.

You will get the opportunity to work alongside International Wedding Planner and Business Consultant Bláithín O’ Reilly Murphy who has {will} devise { with input from the successful candidate } an intern learning program in line with your future career plans so that on completion of your internship you will have achieved and learnt key goals to help you further your chosen career. Who is Bláithín O' Reilly Murphy? Bláithín O’ Reilly Murphy is a Wedding Planning & Business Consultant, Author and Speaker with over 10 years’ experience in the Wedding Industry. Until 2009 she ran the successful wedding consultancy Distinctive Weddings, under which she wrote her first wedding book; Distinctive Weddings; Tying the Knot without the Rope Burns. She now divides her time between a select number of Wedding Planning Clients, working with a select number of Wedding Professionals & Venues on their businesses, writing for Wedding High, lecturing to Event Management & PR students and travelling in Ireland and Abroad on speaking engagements. She is also currently working on two wedding related books which will be published in the coming months. Bláithín is regularly quoted and featured in the media around the world, most notably on E! Online and the bestselling book ‘How to Start Your Own Business’ by Robert Ashton.
