As we enter the summer season, there are no shortage of things to be grateful for and excited about here in Weatherford I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Councilman Kevin Cleveland for his years of dedicated service His commitment and contributions have significantly shaped our town, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors Thank you, Councilman Cleveland, for your tireless work and unwavering dedication
Looking ahead, I am excited about all the wonderful upcoming events that promise to bring joy and unity to our community.
This month kicks off with the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days and PRCA Rodeo. This weeklong event is a staple here in Weatherford, and one I look forward to yearly.
Join us on July 4th for our annual Spark in the Park celebration at Heritage Park. This event will feature live music from the Eli Young Band, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks display It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, celebrate our nation's independence, and enjoy a beautiful summer evening with friends and family
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 13th as we celebrate the annual Parker County Peach Festival This beloved tradition will showcase delicious peach-themed treats, shopping, live entertainment, and fun activities for all ages
These events highlight the vibrant spirit and closeknit community we are so proud of. I encourage everyone to participate, volunteer, and help make these gatherings memorable for all.

On May 10, 2024, the Young Business Leaders group convened for an enlightening session with Mayor Paul Paschall. The event also featured a delightful lunch provided by Fire Oak. This gathering proved highly beneficial, fostering learning and enabling the next generation to glean insights from one of Weatherford's esteemed leaders. It was truly a wonderful occasion, offering invaluable opportunities for growth and collaboration for all who attended.

The Northwest Quadrant Improvement Project, initiated three years ago, is now becoming a reality When fully completed in the coming weeks, this exciting downtown improvement project will include concrete pavement, enhanced parking, decorative stamped crosswalks, removable bollards, planters, decorative lighting and streetscaping. Thank you for your patience as these improvements are completed. Make sure to take a moment to admire the new enhancements and explore the charming stores along York Avenue.

For the past two months, Weatherford has been graced by a delightful presence, as artist Calina Mishay, affectionately known as Cal, has infused her unique touch into our charming town Cal has spent the last nine years helping beautify towns all over Texas Her murals not only serve at beautiful art, but also create a tremendous sense of community pride that will carry on for years to come. Be sure to mark your calendars for October when her TV show, "Cal’s Hometown Revival," premieres on the Discover Channel. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for her dedication and hard work in enriching our community.

We're thrilled to report the success of our Summer Kickoff adoption event, where 15 cats and 15 dogs found forever homes thanks to the support of our community. With 75 families and visitors attending, the event was a triumph, showcasing the power of our community in making a difference in the lives of these deserving animals We're immensely grateful for the participation and contributions that made this event possible and look forward to our next opportunity to connect more animals with loving families Thank you for your unwavering support – together, we're making a meaningful difference!
