FULLY LOADED HUMMINBIRD® To get the detail and unprecedented coverage of Humminbird® 360 Imaging™, you’ll need an Ethernet-ready, Side Imaging® equipped Humminbird fishfinder.

The Transducer Deployment System is the hardware behind the remarkable images of Humminbird® 360 Imaging™. This optional add-on works with any Ethernet-ready, Side imaging® equipped Humminbird model.

DROP IN WITHOUT CAUSING A STIR At your command, the ultra-quiet 360 Imaging™ Transducer Deployment System drops below your boat’s hull and prop for an unobstructed, 360˚ view. The system operates silently, escaping the notice of nearby fish.

TWO DEPLOYMENT OPTIONS When the timing’s right, you can deploy 360 Imaging™ using your Humminbird® unit or the control buttons found on the Transducer Deployment System. Easily manage the depth to which the Transducer Pod deploys to avoid grounding in shallow water.

Compatible models include: 1198cx SI Combo, 998cx SI Combo, 898cxi SI Combo and 798cxi HD SI Combo. In addition to 360 Imaging™ and Side Imaging®, you’ll have access to Down Imaging® and SwitchFire™ for the most complete view of the water. UNDERSTAND THE BEAM

FOUR BEAM SPEEDS

Visualise 360 Imaging™ as a thin sonar wall extending 45m to either side your boat. This wall rotates to create a 90m circle, updated in real time, that enables you to see areas virtually impossible to reach with other types of sonar. And, because the sonar wall moves, you don’t have to.

For greater on-water flexibility, 360 Imaging™ lets you choose from four beam speed settings. Lower beam speeds lead to higher image quality but lower refresh rates. Conversely, higher beam speeds result in lower image quality but higher refresh rates. (A) BOAT LOCATION The position of your boat in relation to the on-screen image. The on-screen image is a history of what you have passed over.

(B) WATER COLUMN The dark blue area shows structure, cover and activity between the surface and lake bottom.

(H) STANDING TIMBER Objects standing off the bottom directly below the boat will appear in the water column. Structure to the left or right of the boat will appear as a clearly defined bright shape with an adjacent, dark sonar “shadow.” This shadow is not caused by light; rather it’s the lack of sonar return because the object has already reflected the sonar energy. Generally, long shadows indicate the object is tall, and small shadows indicate something short. It’s important to note the shadow will often tell you more about the object than the primary sonar reflection.

MARK WAYPOINTS AND GO See something you want to investigate further? Mark it with a waypoint on your Side Imaging® screen. The exact location will be stored in your unit’s memory and is viewable on GPS cartography. Once you’ve marked a waypoint, Side Imaging puts you on the right path — right away—by showing your boat orientation in relation to the waypoint.

UNDERSTAND THE BEAM Humminbird® Side Imaging® Sonar uses an ultra‑thin beam to take a “sonar snapshot” of the area up to 73m to the left and right of your location. The return image for this slice is then added to the images taken immediately before and after to build an incredibly detailed view of the lake bottom.

Sonar Beam Basics Humminbird® fishfinders use high accuracy sound pulses sent through the water. Submerged targets (fish, structure, algae, the bottom) reflect those pulses back to the unit, where the information is displayed.

Easily distinguish strong or weak returns. High intensity returns can indicate large fish or a hard bottom. High or low intensity colouration varies by colour palette.

STRUCTURE/COVER Look for high-intensity returns from snags and rocks and other subsurface formations for a big hint on where fish are hiding.

BOTTOM CONTOURS A hard bottom, such as compacted sediment or flat rock, appears as a thicker line across the display. A soft bottom, such as mud or sand, appears as a thinner line across the display. Rocky bottoms have a broken, random appearance.

FISH ARCHES Fish appear as arches. The true depth of the fish is the top of the arch. At slow boat speeds, a fish will create an elongated arch. At fast speeds, the same fish will produce a shorter arch.

SECOND SONAR RETURN A second return occurs when the sonar signal bounces between the bottom and the surface of the water and back again. Hard bottoms will show a strong second return, while soft bottoms will show a very weak one or none at all.

Controlled depth fishing lets you get your lure where the fish are, and keep it there. Cannon® Downriggers are designed to make the whole process as effortless as possible, so you can spend more time fishing. Here’s how they work.

ATTACH AND LOWER

DOWN WITH THE WEIGHT

To rig, attach the weight (or Cannonball) to the cable, and use a “line release” to attach the weight to the line. Place the rod in the rod holder and lower the weight to your desired depth.

While trolling, the weight of the Cannonball keeps your lure at your desired depth and allows it to “swim” more naturally behind the weight. On some Cannon ® Downriggers, you can cycle the weight up or down, or keep it a set distance from the bottom.

“Run Deep” with the bottom tracking abilities of Cannon ® to stay a consistent distance from the bottom, even when depth changes*. For total coverage of the water below, use a Uni-Stacker to fish at multiple depths off of a single weight. Get the edge you need with our unique fish enticing features, like cycling your Downriggers up and down to raise and lower bait. *Available on Digi-Troll™ models.
