Waterlock/Silencer

Waterlock/Silencer

Combination waterlock and muffler manufactured from high density polyethylene to suit engines up to 50 HP. These waterlocks are suitable for wet exhaust systems with hose diameters of 40, 45 or 50mm. Simply trim off the stepped tails to the required size and connect the hose with double exhaust clamps as is normal recommended practice of installation for small craft. Depending on the relative height of the waterline, care must be taken to prevent water back-syphoning into the engine by installing a gooseneck and syphon break.

These European made waterlocks are manufactured from high density polyethylene to a high standard and are suitable for wet exhaust systems having hose diameters ranging from 55mm to 90mm. Simply trim off the stepped tails to the required size to suit the hose diameter of your choice. These waterlocks provide adequate noise suppression for most small to medium propulsion engines and generators. Depending on the relative height of the waterline, care must be taken to prevent water back-siphoning into the engine by installing a gooseneck and syphon break.

Gooseneck A transom fitted gooseneck provides added engine protection from following seas or when going astern by forcing the water to lift up the gooseneck before being able to enter the engine via the exhaust system. This gooseneck is manufactured from high density polyethylene and suits 40, 45 or 50mm exhaust hose diameters with a 50mm outlet. Simply trim the stepped tail to the required size to suit the hose diameter of your choice. b

Exhaust Hose

These blue silicone exhaust couplers provide simple manifold to solid exhaust pipe connection with angular and longitudinal misalignment compensation in wet exhaust systems. They also provide essential vibration absorption. The silicone couplers are stable at elevated temperatures, resistant to exhaust gas, antifreeze and salt water. Temperature range: -28C° to +175°C

The inner tube of this hose is constructed of nitrile black rubber that is exhaust gas, fuel and fire resistant, whilst the outer cover is manufactured from an NBR/ PVC blend which provides good resistance to abrasion, hydrocarbons and fire. It is strengthened by high tensile cords with embedded steel helix wires to avoid kinking on bends or collapsing. This hose is suitable for wet marine exhausts, fuel delivery and hydraulic suction. Its temperature tolerance is -30ºC to +100°C. For sizes up to 90mm ID. 150 7840/A2, 94/25/CE, 2003/44/EC.

Transom Exhaust Flapper Valves

Exhaust Outlet

Specially compounded weather and UV resistant EPDM rubber flapper valve designed to help prevent water from entering the exhaust system in following seas or when going astern. Secured using 316 stainless steel quick fit hose clamp (supplied).

These highly polished, cast 316 grade stainless steel exhaust outlets include an integral, matt black powder coated stainless steel flapper valve to inhibit water intrusion back into the exhaust system. They also have an ingenious, yet simple collar to keep annoying residual drips away from the hull, thus preventing staining of the hull.

Decoupling Foam Sound Insulation Decoupling foam is a composite sandwich material comprising of a flexible high mass noise barrier laminated between two layers of flexible acoustic foam. It increases sound transmission loss and provides sound absorption. Ideal for engine rooms or anywhere that requires noise control. The outer layer of flexi foam comprises foam sound insulation detailed as 335010 above. The base layer comprises of 6mm foam and acts as a decoupling layer which separates the noise barrier and spaces it from the structure. The middle layer is the decoupled noise barrier that adds significantly to the sound transmission loss of the system. The resultant performance exceeds the mass law. Commonly bonded to the structure with spray adhesives. Features: • Fire retardant to AS 1530.3 • Excellent mid to high frequency performance • Resists hydrolysis - foam will not rot • Ignition retardant • Flexible for ease of installation • Reflects heat and light • Resists contamination from dust and liquids • Heat formable • Durable tear resistant facing • Self extinguishing BLA Code
