Objects standing off the bottom directly below the kayak will appear in the water column. Structure to the left or right of the kayak will appear as a clearly defined bright shape with an adjacent, dark sonar “shadow.” This shadow is not caused by light; rather it’s the lack of sonar return because the object has already

To do this, designers must add width and make sure the characteristics of the hull react accordingly to ensure a high level of initial stability. The Vector 14 isn’t your “traditional” sit-on-top. SAIL RIGS FOR SEA KAYAKS Pacific Action sail systems were developed by kayak enthusiasts to enhance the paddling experience. They have established a formidable reputation as being stable and reliable with both beginners and seasoned professionals alike and are simplistic in both design and operation. Designed to be used in conjunction with a paddle, the Pacific Action sails can be used in trans-ocean crossings as well as leisurely afternoons on the bay. Simply unwrap the sail from the twin masts and release! The integrated shockcord pulls the sail up and the mast-step cam system maintains the optimum shape. Adjustment to the sail shape/angle is simply made by the aft led trimming line.

RIGGING PACK Complete rigging packs containing running rigging, deck fittings and mast step anchor points for mounting your kayak sail onto an additional kayak. Particularly useful if you own a sit-in and a sit-on-top and only one kayak sail.

A PFD Type 50 garment is one that complies PFD-50 with Australian Standards approval code 4758-50. It is required to provide sufficient buoyancy to assist the wearer to maintain his or her head above water. It is less bulky than a PFD Type 100 making it more suitable for applications when the wearer needs to move around or swim. Recommended for dinghy sailors, canoeists and the like, who are required to wear a PFD for extended periods of time. Consult your State Authority for full details and requirements.
